发帖数: 366 | 13 厨房里的counter一般都是36''的标配。俺个子矮，切菜什么的高度实在不合适，太累
。可是不愿意remodel厨房，就买了个比较矮的kitchen island。到肚脐高度是最合适
的切菜高度。不过这个高度还真难找到。
参考了很多家网站，kitchencarts.com, walmart, target, overstock,
ekitchenislands 等等，最后在target买的。
白色跟厨房appliances一样，同时也不会让空间显得拥挤，厨房小，不能用太大的
island.抽屉柜子可以藏常用的东西，以及菜谱等等，免得老是垫起脚尖去吊柜里找。
没有用带轮子的，是怕它不够结实经不住我折腾。这个也够轻，以后买房啥的收一边放
着也方便。
要是能把炉子高度也调一调就完美了。不过我也永不着像大厨一样颠锅。常常做的也就是把东西往锅里一放，动动锅铲。高度不合适还不太影响。 |

It took me an hour just to dismantle the old faucet. My kitchen sink has
garbage disposal and numerous water pipes which makes it almost impossible
to
use a regular wrench, not enough space to use a basin wrench.
The old Moven faucet is install in away that you can only remove the nut
from
below the sink using a customized socket tool from Moven.
Unfortunately, the stupid socket tool for my new Moven sink does not fit the

请,我们这里pool用natural gas加热,各地情况可能不一样.sink要接到房内的话的确很
麻烦,如果不洗油腻的脏东西,只是洗洗手,接到yard drainage就好,可能违反code,问问
当地朋友吧. propane要换气罐,natural gas省事,好象还贵点, 看你自己了. 走电线也
要挖深沟. $6.5应该是broom finish,我们这里不算便宜,你这个工程大,价格可以多讲
一点.

Two options:
1) Kitchen - currently no granite countertop, basic white cabinets, white
10year old appliance.
2) Basement - 3 sides of windows, unfinished. No need to add a bedroom.
Thinking about getting the ceiling, wall and floor done, so kids can play
there.
Which one is better for re-sale value? Of couse I want to do both, but with
limited budget, I can only do one thing in the next two years. |
