One of our dearest alumni and teachers, Dr. Jingyi Cheng died of a heart
attack at 3:30am, Feb. 14, 2000. His death shocked his wife and daughter,
his colleagues at the department of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering
of USTC, and all of us who knew him. Dr. Cheng died at the age of 36, a golden
age for research. We were in such a sorrow when we first knew his death,
because we knew exactly the cause of his death: selfless work!

The lady that interviewed me was Roza, PhD in mathematics Physics. I guessed
she would most likely ask me math questions, no or few other types of
problems. I was right at not asking me of C++ problems, but wrong at other
parts. Here are questions she asked me.

One Step Closer to a Big Dream
I am not good in writing, but I think my experience may benefit the newbies.
So, here it is:
Last Thursday July 11, I did a one mile open water swim race, which was the
warm-up race for my Sunday’s Half Ironman.
Compared to the previous two races I had in this race series, this time was
the first time I didn’t panic. I was very relaxed in the beginning and
pushed all the way through. My average pace was even 1 second faster than

I raced Ironman Canada in Whistler, BC on July 24th and completed it in 10
hours 48 minutes. The race course is the most beautiful one I’ve ever raced
(or visited) to date! Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and winding
through green lakes and blue rivers/creeks, and cutting through valley
meadows. It’s simply amazing to see all the sceneries, let alone having all
the roads closed down for you to swim, bike and run!

简单再说一下三个减肥药, 算是最后的总结: 我认为在FDA决定前三个股票都可以trade
, as far as you buy low and sell high. The only reason I recommended VVUS in
the past is from speculative FA speaking, it is in relative stronger
position. And market do agree with me.
我以前没怎么提,但是减肥药费用不能保险公司支付, insurance companies don't
reimburse obesity drugs这点很重要. 也许这个市场并非象好多人想象的那么大, 另
外有效性不高的药(ARNA 3.6%, OREX 4.5%)即使批准也很难说服病人放弃高效的药(

with J7o. flop came TT9, I bet she called, turn was an 8, i check raise her
all-in and we split the pot.
basically she knew i'm loose aggressive and she knew i knew she's loose
aggressive too.
So in this hand her button raise and my BB 3bet basically meant nothing
given our history. Now, if she really had a big hand, I think she would

A few emails ago, I wrote about floating down the Colorado. At that time, we
were in the calms but we knew with certainty that there were some Class V
rapids ahead. The rapids are here now.
I have to admit that I did not see it coming (may be that will qualify me to
be the next Fed Chairman). While I opined earlier this year that the real
