据英国《每日邮报》8月5日报道，来自美国加州萨利纳斯的布里奇安妮·阿维尼翁日前
为美国43位总统创建家族树，其中42位都是13世纪英国国王约翰的后裔，只有美国第八
位总统马丁·范布伦与约翰王家系无关，但范布伦拥有荷兰王室血统。
报道称，阿维尼翁为了追踪美国历任领导人的血统，花了数个月时间搜索了50多万个人
名。她从美国第一位总统乔治·华盛顿开始，追踪所有总统的男性和女性祖先联系。她
发现除了范布伦外，所有美国总统都是英王约翰的后裔。此前，遗传学家们最多只将美
国22位总统的亲戚关系联系起来，他们主要追踪这些家族的男性成员。

同创始人、斯大校友奈特（Philip Knight）4亿元捐款一天前，该校董事会批准再次上
调学费。斯大上次调整学费是在2015年秋季，上调幅度为3.5%，达到到4万5729元。
校方称，下一学年的本科生和研究生学费将上涨3.5%，MBA新生学费的涨幅3.9%。学费
上调后，本科新生将需要支付6万2541元至4万7331元不等的学费，此外，还有1万4601
元的食宿费，以及609元的强制性医疗费。不过，校方表示，由于学校提供各种奖助学
金，及实行需求回避政策（need-blind admission policy），大多数学生实际支付的
费用将少于上述金额。

本来就是美国错用的，本意就是squire，要是老汉说唐吉柯德是个knight，桑丘是个
squire都还没说清的话，那京剧里面背后插旗的就是knight，前面翻筋斗的就是squire
该明白了吧。这个Esq就是“衷心服务”的意思，可惜美国没有贵族头衔，活生生把个
谦辞用成了尊称。

了。当时朋友早上上班，无醉酒，无使用手机。
事后找了一个律师。本来希望能够在警察出报告之前与警察获得沟通，希望不会出不利
的报告。可是警察拒绝沟通，几天前已经将报告提交给法院。说朋友的车当时超速。这
几天检察官正在review这个案子。 据说可能有两种裁决，一是轻罪，律师可以代表出

而造成的爆炸会引起伤害。
此次召回包括2004年到2006年在美国和加拿大的销售的皮卡。
此次召回是因为几天前，美国政府宣布一名南卡罗来纳州男子去年12月份因为充气气囊
爆炸而死亡。
这名在Kershaw居住的男子名叫Joel Knight，当时他驾驶的2006 Ranger撞上了路上的
一头牛，然后撞向路边栅栏，但他致死的原因是气囊爆炸后的金属碎片插进了他的脖子。
政府表示，福特将召回另外500万辆配备了由日本高田公司制造的充气囊的汽车。一些

是不是用Acquiror is a White Knight flag (AWK)?可是如果用这个variable就必须assume that if an acquiror is not a White Knight, then it must be a hostile bidder? 这个assumption好像too strong

暗池 (Dark Pool) 像证券交易所一样，是证券交易的地方。但这个名字听起来实在不
好，如果看过诛仙就会想到恐怖的血池。暗池这个名字的由来是因为它不发布行情数据
，也就是说没有人知道那里面有什么。相比之下，一般的证券交易机构都会把所有的委
托和成交通过行情数据的形式发布出来，通过看行情数据就知道交易所里各股票的交易
情况，比较当天开盘价，成交量，最高价，最低价，所以普通的交易所相应的叫明市（
LIT Market）.
暗池是最近几年的一个热门的话题，这可能会导致人们认为他们是一个新的创新，但自
上世纪80年代末，他们实际上已经存在了。第一个Dark Pool开始于1987年，由ITG发布

的手段。即使对于真正能懂 chess rules（真正的意思是 play rule legally without
hint/guide）这种对小娃相对抽象的东东，pretend play 几乎是最最有效的手段。具体
而言，在 pawn 的直进斜吃 rule，和 knight 的 L hop rule，这这种对小娃比较
confusing 的 rule 上，非常有效。（其实小娃和我经常把 knight 叫成 horse，这么
叫对小娃更容易）。
这些跟 aware animal cannot talk，以及 aware toy is not living creature，
并不矛盾，小娃早就 aware 那些。我觉得所谓 pretend play，本来就知道是 pretend，
也就是说 not real。 |

同创始人、斯大校友奈特（Philip Knight）4亿元捐款一天前，该校董事会批准再次上
调学费。斯大上次调整学费是在2015年秋季，上调幅度为3.5%，达到到4万5729元。
校方称，下一学年的本科生和研究生学费将上涨3.5%，MBA新生学费的涨幅3.9%。学费
上调后，本科新生将需要支付6万2541元至4万7331元不等的学费，此外，还有1万4601
元的食宿费，以及609元的强制性医疗费。不过，校方表示，由于学校提供各种奖助学
