Master Shōgen【松源】said, “Why is it that a man of great strength does

So what does Shōgen mean when he says that a man of great strength does not
or cannot lift up his leg? It seems strange, even irrational, to our

这个公案,我上个月还考过我的一个同事,她信佛。我就给她讲Koan,结果她说她唯独
不好禅。
Ketou不常见,但是Kowtow确多见。记得原来看《Kiss me, Kate》里面的那两个打手唱
到Kowtwo的时候就觉得很好笑。

I still do not know what are you talking about. Of course, I would not blame your "free imagination" and "free speech".
尊师重道 means can not say 玩笑? You respect your teacher, your parents,
your friends, and you never say any 玩笑 with them?
For example, I may say "Buddha, please help me" when I am tired to do the
work. It is a 玩笑 because I do not really expect that he come to help me
finish the work. However, this 玩笑 does not hurt my respect to him.

我对这里没有什么不满意,如果有的话,也是不应该的。This board is what it is,
it exists because people want to talk and there are more than one people
want to talk. Everybody want to prove or show something here, every idea
want to get more strong here. This is same as other boards, it is nothing
special, and it is reasonable.
You are correct, the main reason I come here is not to learn Buddhism. I
come here because I can not stop coming here. I still appreciate some good
articles ZTed here though.

stop coming here is that i can learn from ppl and practice what i've learned
, which is obviously very different than mearly outputting at other boards.

no enlightening or inspiring discussions, i will lose my interest very

平行的并联的,我觉得作者想暗示说这两者间有着神秘的吻合。
第一章主要介绍现代物理学,第二章介绍东方的一些思想(佛道禅,还提到印度教和儒
家)。第三章是关键部分,作者谈双方的parallels。

Why does Mumon [无门和尚] say that even if your eloquence flows like a
river [悬河之辩], it is all of no use, or even if you can explain
perfectly the whole body of the sutras, it is of no avail? It is because an
exposition, however
eloquent, is merely the transmission or communication of concepts. It is not
a fact, not the essential reality! Suppose you are drinking a cup of tea.
Tasting it is giving you enjoyment. In this instance, the taste is the fact.
