If it is Eb2 while your previous one is Eb3, worth to do it. As long as you
got the greencard, you can switch back to corporate. It is always easy to
launch a job from public to private.
KP's manager is busy, much busier than private's manager. I am not sure if
you've ever been in big four, but you will sacrifice a lot your leisure time
when working there.

的问题，参观了office，然后和两个associate吃午餐，整个过程非常愉快。午餐后面
了一个partner，很顺利，partner说他们现在很需要我这样的人，说如果我干得好明年
July就可以升senior了。走前还问我有没有在面别的公司，如果给offer我会不会来，
我说当然会。回家后发感谢信，partner竟然回复了，说hope to talk to you soon。
我当时就觉得这事儿八九不离十了。可是等啊等，现在还没消息，开始paranoid。当初
找第一份工作的时候就来版上求bless过，很灵啊！所以现在又来了，嘿嘿。求各位
bless啦~~谢谢！！ |

1.What do I need to do to prepare for that? (like what to wear and bring)
2. Anything special I need to pay attention to in the reception?
3. Is it Ok to ask for business cards at that time?
BTW, they asked people to reply their email to confirm the attandance along
with the shoe size. I am just wondering what the shoe size is for? Because
if it is for changing the shoes when we get into the reception room, then I

Financial）早在信贷危机初期已经倒下，数家全球著名的大银行随后也大笔冲销不良
资产；监管部门经过五个月的调查，把次贷混乱的根源指向新的罪魁祸首：会计师事务
所审计失职。
据纽约时报今天报道，司法部委托的独立调查报告说，新世纪金融的不当行为和不谨慎
做法大都得到美国四大会计师事务所之一的毕马威（KPMG）审计人员的默许或认可。
这份长达580页、关于抵押贷款机构破产的报告是这一领域最全面的公开文件。对于毕
马威的指控几乎和2001年安然公司（Enron）破产后对另一顶尖会计师事务所安达信（
Arthur Andersen）的指控如出一辙。
调查中通过电子邮件发现，毕马威部分审计人员对于新世纪金融的会计手法亮出红旗，
但负责审计的毕马威合伙人（即会计师事务所主管）拒绝了那些看法，因为他们担心失
去新世纪这个客户。

If you've been in public accounting for some years, you know every big-4 had
"accidents" bigger than this.
KPMG was even almost indicted last year (once a CPA firm is indicted, it'll
lose its license and effectively go bankrupt--- which was what happened to
AA).
But the reality is, each big-4 is too big to fall.

际学生了，但是还是接受已经有了H-1的人。E&Y还招，但是貌似招的人少了。Deloitte
根本就没来招人。PWC一直就不招。
不知道其他地区情况怎么样？

第二天到offcie office visit interview+一个group activity
audit是一帮人玩个游戏。
分2组 每组给你几条水管 跟几十个跳子棋
让你们把跳子棋从一边传到另外一边， 不能用手，水管不能与水管碰到。。中间不能挺
诀窍就是每个人都稳稳的拿着水管 接口不连一起但是离很近 从高到低那样hold着
advisory不知道是不是一样。 |

我们组今天早上开会，全组四十几个人，大概裁到3-5个人。我是开会前被PARTNER请去
谈话，要我今天收拾东西就走；PAYROLL那边大概会补发工资到4/1日。Severance
Package是算4周。听开会的人说，是全公司范围一致性的行动，这次主要是裁
associate。
我是今年年初才转成associate，去年在那边做完一年的internship。我只知道另外有
一人也被裁掉，是去年9月进去做的。经济不好的时候、轮到裁员，就不管三七二十一
，先省钱再说；公司就是这样的。不能埋怨公司，公司也有公司的难处；只能埋怨说你
坏话的Senior。有些人做得很辛苦，只要Senior不喜欢你，一句话到你performance
manager那边，就可以把刀架在你的脖颈上。

大致流程是：
8:30am 早饭。一二百号人在一楼的大厅里，自助餐。
9:00am-10:00am welcome and introduction 一组recruiter自我介绍，什么部门的，
干多久了，最喜欢什么地方。然后，然后，100多号candidate逐个自我介绍，什么学校
的，申请什么，最喜欢的地方是什么。一个小时就过去啦！
10:00am-11:00am 一个partner做KPMG overview的讲座。
11:00am-12:00pm 来自三个部门，advisory, auditing, tax的6个partner坐成一排，
自我介绍，然后接受提问。
12:00pm-1:00pm 午饭，自助餐。

submitted.
I don't think you can pay the money by way of sponsoring yourself. The law
requires the company pay all of fees including attorney fee for H-1B
application. I don't think such a big company like KPMG would violate the
law to allow you to pay yourself for the sponsorship. |
