failed his entire class on the way out. Horwitz says the cheating,
disrespectful students had it coming, but the kids swear they don’t deserve

A professor at Texas A&M University at Galveston just jumped ship—but not
before failing an entire class for what he calls a pattern of cheating,
backstabbing and all-around bad behavior.

up and then robbed their house on May 29.
A Fort Bend County man, his wife and two daughters were awakened by up to

The man talked to KPRC 2 but was still too shaken to reveal his name.

休斯敦地区从北到南的居民都有发现，最近几周他们的水费帐单像窜天猴一样暴涨了很
多倍。
住在Spring的Elaine Mahr就说她最近的帐单飚涨了一倍。她认为这里面有问题。Mahr
说她丈夫问过邻居，她家邻居也遇到同样的问题。这说明这不是一家一户的问题。Mahr
家再上个月用了7,800加仑水，收费是$130，而最近一次的帐单显示她家用了41,000加
仑水，收费$303。她说她家就两个人，根本用不了这么多水啊。
Mahr当然给水公司Aqua Texas打了电话问问是肿么了。然后水公司答应派人来看看，最
后也真的派人来看了，结果来的人告诉Mahr的丈夫，水表没错，你家就是用了这么多水
，乖乖交银子吧。Mahr的丈夫认为水公司实际上以前没有来读过水表，完全是估算出的
数字，然后他们估算方法有问题，很可能当时严重低估了。这次等于要补交以前差的水
费。
Mahr说我们在这里住了22年，我们最多最多就用过$220的水费。$303真的是太高太高了。

中國向歐美主流社會的宣傳戰升級。繼中國國際廣播電台（China Radio
International, CRI）收購美國德州一家地方電台外，官方新華社主辦的中國新華新聞
電視網（CNC）英語台今日起試播，將透過衛星以及網絡、手機等渠道向海內外廣播。
據美國媒體報道，隸屬中國政府、以53種語言向世界廣播的CRI從今年1月起就透過一家
美國公司，簽約向德州休斯敦近郊的KGBC廣播電台獨家提供英文節目內容。KGBC是調幅
電台，頻道是AM1540，該電台創辦於1947年，由於近年財務拮据，被一間美國公司收購
。該台的註冊地點加爾維斯頓島距離休斯敦70餘公里，在休斯敦市區收聽該台訊號並不
清晰。
擬斥資150億打宣傳戰
報道雖然未提收購該台5年播音權的代價，但該台忽然變成了中國官方喉舌，令當地人
