The Krispy Kreme Challenge is an annual, student-operated race in Raleigh,
North Carolina
benefiting the NC Children's Hospital. Beginning in 2004 with a mere 10
participants,the race has grown exponentially to a whopping 5,500 runners in
the 2009 race and has rapidly become one of NC State University's newest
traditions.
Beginning at the NC State Belltower, each runner runs 2 miles to the Krispy
Kreme store located on Peace St. |

这是全球Krispy Kreme连锁的第一号店。里面可以坐下吃甜饼圈喝热／冷饮。还可以看
到一个小小的制造流水线：一群胖胖的面圈在微波炉里上下加热，然后漂在油上油炸，翻个面再炸
，钻过一个糖浆水帘洞，就大功告成。
因为这是标杆店，所以店员十分友好。据传当年，只要店外的"HOT"霓虹灯招牌亮起来
，任何走进店里的人，会得到一个免费的刚出炉的Doughnut。
虽然柜台里的Donghnuts有二十多种，不要挑花了眼，千万记住要那种新鲜出炉的HOT

但是基本上倒闭了，只剩下多伦多周围两三家；SBux倒是
近年扩张迅猛，在我家周围居然有三四个。他们的咖啡很

Doughnuts and Coffee店里买过。室友向我推荐说那里的甜甜圈啊如何如何好吃。后来
去了店里看到人家用油现炸的。油炸出来之后，再裹了一层层厚厚的糖霜，还有巧克力
霜，看得我当时就感觉自己要溢出来了一样。

假定你只投资这些你能读懂报表的公司，问题是你怎么知道他们不是在cook book？ 随
便举个例子吧，Krispy kreme donuts，他们的生意太简单了吧，high school dropout
都可以读懂，但是读懂他们的报表并没有保证你不踩地雷。
== 如果这个公司有问题，在报表上总会露出马脚的。当你看得报表多了，你就能很容
易的感觉出来。
你能不能举个例子出来，有什么公司不合法的东东是被你我这样的散户发现问题的。我
至今为止尚未发现。从来没有人能够在Tyco的报表里面发现CEO Kozlowski用公司的盈
利两百万来为他的老婆做生日，也没有人发现他和CFO用公司的钱去买他们在Florida和
Manhattan的房地产。当你不用看都知道迪士尼的business的时候，你怎么知道他们居
然会在一个美元和日元的currency swap上面损失惨重？当你每季度都看到Dell刚刚好

要研究Krispy Kreme最好的办法是去那里看看，做FA是很灵活的一件事情。另外，cook
book一年两年可以做到，10年怎么做得到？FA的目的是理解为什么这个公司能在这个行
业立足领先。一两个数据并不是特别特别重要。
这些都不能从看报表中发现。但是事实上你是能闻出一些气息的。对于一个人，其实几
句话就能判断了。对于一个公司，我看的是这个公司在长期的业务上的生存能力。按照
八飞的话说，我研究一个公司是看这个公司的故事。并不是我们看到一个tyco，看到一
个dell就要去投资，我找一千个公司，真正能投资的大概不到2个，有的时候一个都没
有。
投资要做FA这件事就像打牌要看牌算牌一样，我打得不好并不能说我就不应该看牌算牌
了，只能说我算牌思考的能力水平不够。
他买nebraska furniture mart，你可以自己去kansas city和omaha去看，那个城市里
面是否还有其他的家具店存活。omaha的nfm在股东大会周末一个周末销售量七千多万，
你可以问问这个世界上的零售业还谁能做得到。一个参考数据是Costco一个店铺的平均
年销售额是一亿三千万左右。 |
