Fall has finally come to the Kronotsky Nature Reserve. Animals enjoy the
abundance of food and prepare themselves for long and severe winter.

gnats and wool lice are inevitable companions of people working in the
Kronotsky natural reserve. But there is the other side in their work: they
see the most beautiful sunsets and daybreaks, their paths go along
picturesque passes and behind scenic waterfalls where people usually don’t
get. They are often the witnesses of the most private moments of wild nature.

发帖数: 4647 | 3 堪察加半岛位于俄罗斯远东地区。西濒鄂霍次克海，东临太平洋和白令海。南北长约
1,200公里(750里)，最宽处约480公里(300哩)，面积约370,000平方公里(140,000平方哩
)。有两座沿半岛延伸的山脉，最高点海拔4,750公尺(15,584呎)。有127座火山，其中有
22座活火山。有许多喷泉和温泉。半岛南端有俄罗斯唯一的小型地热发电站。植被大部
为苔原植物。渔业是唯一重要的经济活动，特别是沿海捕蟹业。也有少量农业及牛和驯
鹿放养业。堪察加彼得罗巴甫洛夫斯克是主要城市和港口。1934年在东海岸建立克罗诺
基(Kronotsky)自然保护区。居民主要是俄罗斯人，另有科里亚克、楚克奇和堪察加人。
堪察加半岛是俄罗斯最大的半岛，从东北向西南延伸1200多公里，北部以宽仅100公
里的地峡与大陆相连，面积37万平方公里；
堪察加半岛生长着各种植物。这个半岛上的低矮植被养育了大量的动物，例如堪察
加旱獭。堪察加是一块遍布火山的陆地。沿半岛的山脉链分布着100多座火山，其中22座
为活火山。

We are back to Kronotsky Nature Reserve, a unique place where one could
admire untouched nature of Kamchatka. The last eruption of this still active
volcano took place in 1923. Today the crater is sealed with large boulders.
Presence of few people who live in the reserve can be traced by little
houses standing among virgin nature. The huts hide themselves this way only

from height. These pictures were taken in different years from helicopters
flying over Kamchatka. The bonus is fantastic photographs of the erupting
Kamchatka volcano Plosky Tolbachik.
