回到前几集，的确是铺垫了些KUTNER有可能自杀的情节。。。

新学校graduate coordinator基本同意了改方向,但这学期只能选部分课
同意我在这学期２门数学专业课(real analysis, differential equation)之外选了２
门统计课(linear regression analysis by Kutner, stat inference by George
Casella),
去audit了一门课，发现用到很多stat inference 的知识，我本科也是数学的，统计只
学了１－２门课,所以碰到一些分布函数什么的都不记得了，很吃力,不想上了。
那我这学期还可以做点什么？学SAS，或者学点别的简单课？准备读博士，然后去工业
界.
征求建议，如果自学课，请列出课本和作者。
我统计知识现在不行，但数学背景方面没问题 |

author: Kutner, Nachtsheim,Neter, Li as textbook.
I couldn't understand 80%or more of this book first chapter.
Now I am going back to learn "Introduction to the Practice of statistics",
(author Moore, McCabe, Craig ) by myself now. About 80%-90% ,I can
understand.

u r right, u need a very solid understanding of analysis, measure,
probability, math stats, linear models, asymptotics, decision theory, stat
learning theory...
but my point is how to digest new things efficiently. or put it simply, to
be able to read papers in top journals, to understand new skills in a week..
. then u don't have to start with analysis. if u look at some decent stat

applied linear statistical model by Michael Kutner
这本感觉是偏重基础理论的。
regression modeling strategies by Frank Harrell, 这本比较偏应用，主要是生物
统计的predictive model的。
应用方面的可能看专注于自己领域的会更有用。
我数学基础比较差，楼主说的那本书我看着很费劲，后来看了那本书的降级版 intro.
to statistical learning, 感觉很好。 |
