router vs. switch的坑是与时俱进的，与十年前也有所不同了。打个比方，L3的data
center会越来越多，但我们仍然认为那些放在core-aggregation-access地方的box
是switch，而不是router。这个例子只是说明甚至连L2/L3都不是区分的标准了。对SP
网络来说，10年前是“大炮巨舰”，巨牛的骨干核心路由器是最重要的，现在呢？不点
名是
那家了，只用10G端口巨多的某厂商的“switch”当骨干核心，而边缘就是所谓的
service
router了。所有fancy和不fancy的业务（dia,vpn,....）和功能（te,...）都在SR
上实现。那个router，那个是switch呢？ |

用bond的话，不用在两个nic卡上配real IP. 只要用bond搞一个IP上去就行。这样1个
nic坏了也没关系。
在一台server上做L3冗余是没有意义的，对吗？
另外，这个“同时你的switch上也得配置etherchannel”是什么意思？
joa, 我的理解是，因为bond是L2, 从server egress的IP包，src就是一个IP.不知道我

mobility is supported as well, but this time over L3 DCN. In L3 DCN,
multipath is no longer a problem. And VXLAN can also fix the MAC scalability
issue in similar way as FabricPath. And VXLAN is even better because it
improves vlan scalability.
So in my understanding VXLAN makes FabricPath/TRILL much less appealing than

doesn't matter send 0/0 to oca or oca set default gw to router, off-net
traffic except traffic to AS2906 will be dropped on upstream router, which
means this route is dedicated to oca. so isp has to pitch in bw/power/space/
router.
real threat to Akamai/llnw/l3 is aws/azure, not home-grown cdn from fb/goog/
Netflix/etc. anyway it's hard for them to get biz from them, haha. biz for

840 四核没有L3，560 两核有 6MB L3,看你自己了，我个人觉得840 跟athlon x4的没
啥区别。我自己的平台上开核前后比较四核比2核还是要明显快一些。要是
我当时买的是555 be，还便宜10块，刚买来的时候是oc/unlock 4GHz @ auto voltage
1.45V(默认好像是1.4，主板偷偷加了)。后来慢慢慢慢就越来越差，unlock都不稳定了
，前几天才知道是灰把风扇下面堵住了，风吹不进散热片。清了后，又重新调了调现在
1.4V unlock 3.8GHz。这个stock的风扇挺差劲，有机会要换个好的

如果你的软件，在已经有6个core，提高到12个真core时，还能有相当的提升，比如50%
，那HT还是有点帮助。如果这时候真核翻倍，性能提高不多，那HT有可能降低。另外，
真核的提高，L3 catch肯定是有提高的。L3 catch往往多核共享。而HT相当于每个core
的专用catch（L1）减半了 |

，E5 4627支持4cpu。支持4cpu的主频低3%（3.3ghz vs 3.4ghz），可以忽略不计。
2687w L3 catch多些，但是你不是做服务器，而是计算用，所以L3 catch多没啥意义。
直接就是比拼CPU主频和数量了。 |

网上仓促间找了一个很古老的benchmark。

这个benchmark测的是Solarflare SFN4112F。我敢肯定用的是Intel Westmere或者以前
的架构。这个benchmark至少3年新。
用这个配置，用kernel bypass的driver基本上可以发3.5 million UDP/s。但是到了2
million以上收方开始丢包。
其实Intel这些年不显山不露水，Sandy Bridge的I/O能力比前一代提高了一倍都不只。
而Solarflare也已经升级到了7112F。我们现在用的还是6112F。看来又要升级了。
Sandy Bridge以前，Intel的I/O控制器在芯片组里面。直到Sandy Bridge，才集成到
CPU封装里面。这样每个CPU带一个IOH。每个IOH可以带自己的PCI总线。在之前IOH是芯
片组共享的，只有一个。

你这个算法没啥大问题。有几点可以探讨。
1. 其实我只想20G进，20G出。是全双工。
2. Xeon是quad channel 256 bit。
3. Sandy bridge能够直接PCI - L3 cache I/O。
4. Sandy bridge L3 cache 是 full speed。
5. 假定只用5G，message size 256 byte，还能有2.5M messages/second。
6. 用dual socket sandy bridge，每个CPU都有一条IOH PCI lane。

那种完全随机，可能性应该微乎其微。因此，实际使用，性能平均应该更好一些。
再说，L3 cache全cover，Sandy Bridge以后，L3 cache是full speed。性能提升是巨

发帖数: 1167 | 46 两周前被诊断出腰椎L3的位置有个肿瘤,约了两周以后的手术,想咨询几个问题:
1. 医生说会打开我的L2,L3的脊椎部分,然后在显微镜下把肿瘤割了,然后做病理看良性
恶性,不过他说90%都是良性. 我想知道有没有必要在手术前就做活检看是否良性?
2. 医生说打开脊椎以后,会取出一些小的骨头,然后做完手术,就不放回去了.我觉得有
点shock,他说这些骨头不影响我以后的运动,咨询了一下国内的医生,说有些会作脊椎固
定的,可是这边医生说不做,不知道这边医生靠谱吗?
3. 护士告诉我因为我去的医院是教学医院,所以手术时候,前面割开肌肉,打开脊椎之类
的工作由resident完成,就是割肿瘤部分由我的医生做,割完肿瘤以后,脊椎缝合什么也
是resident做.我知道所有的医生都需要经过锻炼,可是心里还是有些担心,毕竟是脊椎,
我想知道打开脊椎这些工作对于医生来说,是不是很简单的操作?

发帖数: 858 | 47 两个不一样。一定要我选一个的话，CFA考试难大，L3主观题连老美都答不完，对中国
人更是个挑战。FRM比较偏数理，中国人喜欢。而且我认识的人里有很轻松过FRM却总也
过不了CFA-L3的。 |
