至少从review上看sonus faber比dynaudio/bowers&wilkins/vienna accoustics更适合我
BW/dynaudio似乎都是以neutral/analytical见长
sonus faber以laid back见长。。。更适合classical（只听classical）
至少从我过去对耳机的比较来说，我更喜欢laid-back/warm, 更喜欢hd650 而不是akg

about this, to pay tax now, every dollar you put in ROTH 401(k), you pay 32.
5% or 35% federal tax (since you are in AMT exemption phase out range, you
think your marginal fed tax rate is "only" 25% or 28%? Too bad!), plus 6%-8%
local tax. If you ever get laid off for a short period of time, you may
drop to 15-25% federal tax rate and whatever state tax for a year, in which

到了一个offer),很不顺利,基本上头3年都是乱七八糟的垃圾工作,那时候他心理压力应
该是很大的,我基本上都不敢和他发脾气(不是找工作的事, 就是生活上的小矛盾),当然
还是会有争吵,不过都是和工作无关的. 后来他被一个垃圾公司laid off之后,心灰意冷
了,都不想找工作了,于是提出去另一个州找他一个自己做生意的好友(做得不错,赚了不
少钱),我明知道他和他那个好友根本不是一个情况, 很难自己做的, 可当时也不忍阻止
他, 就让他去了2个月.回来当然一无所获. 感谢上天, 终于时来运转, LG找到了一份正
式的专业工作, 说不上多好, 不过总算是正规公司, 也专业对口, 两人都松口气.
唉, 在美国混都不容易, 尤其身份没拿到之前. 其间我还被laid off一次, 所幸1个多
月后找到了另一家.那时我们都准备去加拿大(拿了移民纸了).回想起那段日子, 觉得两人相依相靠,心里还是很暖的. |

的Consultants，全是有Curam工作经验的，用来加快High level design和detail design的进度，我到HP上班后的第

consulting公司的Contractors在HP上班，真正HP的才1/4，后来新招的HP Employee参
加了Curam的培训，一共11个
人，培训的时候，我才听说HP要付给Curam的Consultants一小时$200.00，当然是直接
给他们公司的，所以HP觉得太
贵，因此招了我们，并且向通过培训让我们最后拿到Curam Certificates，最终
terminate所有的contractors，我对这没
有意见，HP的idea可以理解，也是想分Curam Consulting的一杯羹，但是，要知道HP赋
给employee的钱可是和

The projects on these companies are very challenging, mostly requires over-
time work, but you learn more there and you gain big bonus and $$$.
HP is more laid-back, more for ppl in retirement age who don't want to work
over-time.
As for job security, it totally depends on the group. Google and Apple laid
-off and cut back in some groups as well (e.g. Motorola). |

STATUS 直到10月1日。
就算你被LAID OFF,我觉得你的公司应该不会REVOKE 你的，很多老美不知道这个的，你
不提就是了。反正从现在开始就不要再跟公司说啥话了，多说无益。大家都不容易，你

也没啥事，反正都是SHORT DISABILITY付的那2个月的工资。回来后人家也继续上班，
后来公司LAID OFF，她也没被LAID 掉。不过估计不会被PROMOTED了。
还有那些进公司半年不到的就开始怀孕的。其实这个东西应该是社会统一给个
INSURANCE啥的来付工资。
这世界很多时候都是一小部分坏蛋把大部分好人给害苦了。比如那种H1B LOTTERY的事
，明明是ICC专法律的漏洞，把其他的H1B的人害的要LOTTERY。 |

told me there will be two or three inspections pier+ final or pier + framing
+ final. I think the pier inspection does not make sense because they just
need to be laid on soil.Also, piers can not be properly laid until frames
are added.

大。
在我们认识以前，他在几个大公司已经工作了几年。 mid thirty的样子，正好是觉得
很想自己出来干的时候，第一是经历了2000 dot com crash，感觉要有自己的公司才来
的踏实。 那个dot com crash 或多或少影响了他的工作。虽然不是直接影响，但是也
经历了一番前一个大公司的laid off，虽然他在拿到laid off 通知前已经找好了下家
， 但是情绪上有点低落。所以在后一个大公司又干了两年后，有一个小公司的老板看
重我老公，邀请他做partner。
那个小公司的老板，简称S吧，平时跟我老公生意上有来往，觉得还行。 我老公自己没
有钱办公司，正好这个老板有钱，但公司几年来一直亏本，就找上了我老公。连同他一
个同事，一起加入。 当时答应的条件是profit sharing，当然这profit以后可以转成
公司share (公司还是private, 没有上市）。 我老公当时就心血澎湃，当时就加入了
。工资也减了一半。 他当时也傻，觉得是哥们义气，没有把上面说的写下来。

前的F1/F2身份就会失效。

1. your employer buys UI for you, but UI is not employer managed. it is state
managed.
2. you apply through the state, the state decides if you are eligible, not
employer.
3. so who can receive UI depends on each state's regulation.
4. in most states one of the conditions of receiving UI is like this "the
applicant must be readily able to work".
laid off h1b's do not satisfy this condition because once laid off, h1b status
is gone so the ex-h1b holder are not "readily able to work". when ca |

济不好，项目越来越差。我又急着办绿卡，与犹太女老板闹僵了。2008年底，我被laid
off. 随后我申请了失业保险。没想到，这个犹太女老板上诉我的失业保险。起初我都
不知道她为何如此，到了Regional Hearing Department参加hearing, 才知道这个non-
profit organization没买失业保险，有了layoff ，公司要付这份保险。这个犹太女老
板原打算由于我是H1B, 不能申领失业保险。这个犹太女人雇了律师，并且安排了雇员
出庭作证，我是被fired, 不是laid off. 她让IT人员作证我的计算机里有Cain and
Able软件，导致了公司的网络crash. 我不知道这个Cain and Able软件是哪来的，但公
司的网络crash是因为我试图帮助我的co-worker连接网络硬盘时，reset Router造成的

我现在刚生了小孩在家休产假。
在我修产假之前一天，我的经理找我谈了一次话，说是去年的performance review 出
来了，我被放在plan 上。我当时听了就笑着说，这个绝对对我是不公平的。我经理说
，这个吗，我也刚知道结果，放在plan上也没什么吗，我们可以借此提高自己。我笑了
笑，就以身体不舒服为由，提前结束了谈话，请假回家了。
我心里明白，人家是想让我主动走人。 之前，我经理就以我要修产假为由，让我培训
别人做我的工作有3个多月了，还让我把我所有的工作都documentation 了。现在当然
是过河拆桥的时机成熟了。
我的问题是，我可不可以和大领导谈谈，把我laid off 了，这样，我至少可以有失业
救济，领半年，我正好可以在家把孩子带大些。如果，我自己辞职的话，我连失业救济
也没有。
不知道，主动要求laid off 是不是make sense? 需要和谁谈？怎么谈？请有经验的达
