这个shingle 30/40/50(liftime) 材料 warranty 基本是contractor拿来忽悠的。尤其
最近象 certainteed landmark 系列，3种料都 upgrade 成 lifetime了。而且过了十
年以后就pro-rated，还会找各种理由赖。象大家说的，几十年后房子本身，公司都是
未知数。再换顶子多半不是料本身这麽简单的事了。labor warranty 有5年的，也有10

发帖数: 482 | 29 我儿子上K，作为class bee,前不久也参加了学校的spellingbee比赛。比赛前一天我给
他看了youtube里一段比赛的录像，特别强调一次就要说对，不懂可以问，但一旦开始
说就要说清楚。比赛的时候他很正常。倒是有个小孩，也是K的，美国白人，拼写paper
的时候，说成了papper,其实她应该是知道的，但是在想得过程中她重复了p，所以第一
轮就被淘汰了。她下来就哭了，可是这就是规则，她的爸爸妈妈都来看她比赛了，只是
安慰她，也没有人上去理论。还有个K的小孩，在拼写landmark的时候，把自己给饶进
去了。还有那个theme,比赛时的第一个孩子也是被要求拼这个词（难道各个地区用同样
的list?)，lz千万别觉得不公平。
而且这个单词顺序是写在纸上的，（难道你们那里不是？）有的孩子运气不好正好碰到
自己不会的被淘汰下去，我觉得也是说明他本身spelling就不行，不能当spellingbee.
我觉得你想太多了，全校就选一个人，肯定是高年级的，就把这当作人生的一次锻炼就
好了。

某小娃剪头发，满院子跑，最小的娃在边上monster truck的轮胎下面爬呀爬着玩，他
们看起来都很enjoy....男主人说他们以前住个更大的房子，后来觉得说这样工作时间
太长，没时间做想做的事情，比如到处传下教啊，写写书啊，所以现在租个小点的4000
来尺的，好多点时间去非洲啥的。。。。。
话说也有人觉得C SCALE太难了，比什么E flat都难，因为没有landmark，也是听得俺
一愣一愣的.....
只能感叹说，人跟人真是性相近，习那个实在相远啊..... |

发帖数: 212 | 31 我觉得你的想法挺好的，不过不要“不希望娃拿着拼图一直玩”，你可以在拼图上下功
夫，比如你可以给她买美国地图的拼图，这样几遍拼下来她就会认识美国各州，如果你
买的是有州府和每个州的特产的那种，还可以顺带和她一起学习这些。等美国地图拼熟
悉了，你给她上世界地图，几大洲几大洋，世界上的每一个国家，然后给她买一张大大
的世界地图，教她认识国旗，还有每个国家的首都啊，landmark之类的。呃，话说，我
儿子就是这样。这些虽然不算什么本事，但是将来他们会读到很多关于美国各州或者各
个国家的书，他们就会有兴趣。Common Core以后对non-fiction的强调比重加大，有些
孩子觉得无聊，但是如果我们顺着他们小时候的兴趣，把这些informational的东西变
得很自然，他们长大了就不会觉得无聊，反而会很喜欢。
以此类推地，你还可以给她买各种动物的，植物的，或者小女孩有pinkalious人物的拼
图，以后你给她买pinkalious的书，她就会更喜欢看，然后可以从一本书变成好几本，
从这一个主题变成更多的主题，这样也许她坐得住的时间会长一些。

lmaccc的价格：和别的daycare相比，价钱差不多，但是质量完全不是一个档次，要好
很多。从这个角度说，一点都不贵。
3岁多lmaccc是1700一个月，比外面的daycare还要便宜一点，应该是哈佛给了很多补助
。外面基本都是1800-2000。
Brookline的daycare不清楚，问谷歌。或者你自己亲自一家家看，这个最保险。价格上
，不大可能低于1500。 |
