新版的Word 写方程也是很方便，在equation 环境下，输入方程的方式和LaTex 几乎一
样。 \alpha, \int 等等，很方便。但是word 更直观。不知道LaTex 比Word 好在哪里？
请哪位两者都比较熟的同学说说？谢谢！ |

特别是图文，或者方程和文字一起排版地时候
2.你要是文字中很多特殊符号，这要用word不得累死
用tex简单多了
3.word更直观这说法，看个人写作习惯了
比如有人就喜欢只focus on 内容，往下写的
而且习惯了latex的思维习惯的话，看着文字里的特殊字符，也没什么特别的
更何况latex并不是不直观，你写完长的方程，如果担心哪里错了，直接tex一下，生成
dvi，pdf，ps之类马上也就看到了。要么自己写个script要么用现成的texshop或者
winedt
之类，都很容易解决这个问题。

用bibtex的bib文件一直挺好的，
一个杂志不知道不能用bib，文章都写好了才发现，必须要把文献放到latex文件中，就是文章的最后。
请问有什么方便的方法转换？
我的bib里面有300多篇文章，latex中实际只用50多篇，我想bbl文件信息如何能提取？

All natural solid latex core, organic cotton fabric, cushion firm, 趟了一会
觉得硬度足够.
标榜的是hypoallergenic之类的, 我倒是不care.
因为不是用弹簧的, 所以号称no motion transfer.
我让LD在另一边翻身/折腾了几下, 我这边确实纹丝不动的.
另外, 因为不用弹簧, 号称很经久耐用, 不会很快就塌陷.15 year warranty.
king size的mattress+box,
再加一张实木的platform (slats)的bed, 有床头床尾的那种, (retail大概500上下?),
可能还可以再送点什么pillow/pad之类的freebie,
$2000 out of the door.
不知道有没有人用过latex core的床垫
我就想知道是不是比弹簧床更耐用, 以前的弹簧床总是用着用着就塌了.
另外,这样的价格算公道不? |

发帖数: 740 | 10 Latex的床垫非常非常非常的重，如果你经常要搬家的话不推荐。要买实木的床，不然
不一定支撑得住。
还有如果上面是带Pillow top的话，要买质量好的。因为Latex的床垫不会变形，但是
pillow top用久了就有可能陷下去了，还没法换。如果有可能不要买带Pillow top的，
回家自己加另外的topping。
我以前买的costco的latex床垫就是用了没两年Pillow top就不太好了，很郁闷。 |

学校网站上下载的tex文件和对应的cls文件，可以顺利通过编译并生成PDF文件。
但当我从ACM主页上（ http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates ）下载了Latex模板文件之后尝试编译，出现了如下错误：
! LaTeX Error: Unknown graphics extension: .eps
有问题的那一行是在406行，l.406 \epsfig{file=fly.eps}。
网上说是因为PDFTeXify不能直接识别eps文件，所以我就先TeXify然后再转PDF。但在
我尝试打开dvi文件的时候，Yap又提示出错，只能看到前两页，后面就看不到了。
我想问下大家一般都用什么软件来编译tex文件？哪个比较好用？多谢啦！ |

完全赞同，主要是现在付费的word进步太快，latex近几年没什么打的变化了
latex经常一个小bug搞你一天，很烦人的。而且由于是开源的，也没有人有统一的解决
方案。
没学过的人，不建议使用。

交互是强了，但是还是两个大问题没解决
1. 对于不懂latex的人来说，一头雾水
2. 还是没有track change的选项
我希望的是想word的mathtype插件那样，双击我就可以编辑公式
但是对于其他人来说，不编辑公式的时候就是一个所见即所得的编辑器
我注意到这个工具有个rich text的选项，语法挺像markdown语言的
看来他们也想在latex和可读性之间找个平衡 |

命令行工具，Mac和Linux很象

者专注于内容。所见即所得，很多时候是一种干扰，让作者随时为版面分心。
对商业写作来说，版面效果比内容重要，Word能快速产生一些版面效果。更重要的是，

手工转到WORD格式文件真是一件耗时痛苦的事，实在不甘心花几天时间在这个过程上，
而如果有好的转换工具，1秒不到就能完成。这件事困扰我已久，以前也花了很多时间
精力在寻找合适的转换软件上，总是无功而返。可是这样的需求以后只会增多，不会减
少。难不成我每次都象蚂蚁一样，一段一段地搬运，一个一个数学符号地重新输入？一
想到这个就抓狂。
这儿平时写文章的同学应该也有不少，有哪位碰到过这样的困扰么？你们是用的什么
LATEX TO WORD或者PDF TO WORD的好软件/工具的呢？可能我找的方法不对，这些年来
从来没有找到过一个好的。

I have to copy these required .sty files to the folder where the document A.tex located. Otherwise, latex doesn't know where to find .sty files. Because I have many different files in
different folders, I am sick to copy these .sty files to all these folders. It is stupid. But I don't what I can do otherwise, so that latex could find .sty files on its own? Could anyone please help me?

submitting a paper to IEEE conference have to follow IEEE format.
Luckily, I just download the IEEE paper template and fill it with
my contents. I looked up help files (Not So Short guide to latex, stc)
when necessary.
Using word is easy, but when changing to another format, you have to
deal with how to make it follow the new format, avoiding the figures
flying around. In Latex, you only need to change a line if they provide

图是matlab画得， export成eps格式
如果设置latex=>PS, build生成不了任何ps文件
如果设置latex=>PS=>pdf, build生成pdf文件，但插图的位置只是空白。
隐约中记得版上有人问过这个问题， 可是搜了半天， 精华区中也找不到。

This works with C and C++, formatting using plain TeX. Formatting using
LaTeX is possible in theory, but Knuth does not provide a .cls or a .sty
file for using CWEB with LaTeX. I have once hacked a .cls or .sty to
use CWEB together with LaTeX. If you are interested, let me know. I
haven't used that file (programming in Fortran these days), and I will
not likely be able to support its use. |

Build Profiles), 看看编译按钮的默认命令.
我这里默认使用的是rubber,
所以你可能要考虑一下安装rubber apt-get install rubber
rubber是个很好用的LaTex编译脚本, 很智能的帮你编译tex, bib ,转换eps->pdf啥的 |

Plugins ->Gedit Latex Plugin 0.2 rc1 -> configure Latex Plugin ->Tools->
Latex Pdf Properties -> command : rubber --inplace --maxerr -1 --short --
force --warn all --pdf "$filename" gnome-open "$shortname.pdf"
rubber also installed by default.
But still cannot compile. Simply no response when press the button. |
