这鸟儿的学名来自拉丁语：Branta canadensis,从这个名字变化一下就是英文里的
Canada goose，德文里的“Kanadagans”和法文里的“Bernache du Canada”。而这个
拉丁文名字的意思就是从加拿大飞来的黑雁。
我觉得从语源上讲动物的命名比较合理。不过把一种动物或者习俗附会上名人、神迹，
在各文化里都很常见的。

本報訊：周二公布的《美國新聞與世界報道》2014年美國最佳高中學校評選，紐約市雷
曼學院「美國研究高中」（The High School of American Studies in Lehman
College）名列全紐約州第一，全國排名第32。
「美國研究高中」校址位於布朗士州立大學Lehman College學院內，這間高中目前有9
年級到12年級的385名學生，它在全國約1萬9400間高中學校內排名第32，在紐約州則排
名第一。
「美國研究高中」與Lehman College學院共用校址，這間高中鼓勵學生選讀在學分的大
學科目。該校校長懷斯表示，高級世界歷史與高級美國歷史是該校兩門強制必修的學科。

位于纽约下城的巴厘街(Bowery Street) 和豪斯顿街(Houston Street) 的交口有一
面著名的涂鸦墙，长久以来有很多人在上面创作。2008年在开发商基金会的支持下，这
个墙面正式成为长久存在的涂鸦墙。每隔一阵子，就会换上一面著名涂鸦艺术家的最新
创作，成为纽约最佳的户外艺术展地之一。今年夏天，以照相写实模版绘图技法闻名于

Smooth的高手有Olga Foraponova，前美国职业组冠军
业余组有Simone-Kora(TEN DANCE高手)
华人高手有10多年前北舞国标系的第一节毕业生，只是最近隐退了。
COACH的访问也很多，大牌教练常来访问，应该够你受用的。 |

Innovative Latin cuisine. Great food, beautiful presentation, crazy
cocktails, nice decor... The chef is from Spain.
Very funny, they have a Sunday brunch called "Latin Dimsum". Will try next
time.

发帖数: 11 | 40 最近去CLUB较多，发现LATIN和国产交谊舞有些相通之处。
SALSA(QQS)与平四(QQQQ)相通，舞步可换，只需PAUSE在第4拍。跳平四的人，稍加些胯部
动作，就可以跳SALSA了。SALSA的动作也可用在平四里。
CUMBIA 是横走的RUMBA，与国产RUMBA基本相同。
MERENGUE更是LATIN舞入门课。RUMBA=DANCE OF LOVE。
据说：
CHA CHA = RUMBA (2@3@) + MERENGUE (4@1@)

you would do fine in either. although the first group tends to be a little
more formal and older, swing is popular among young folks again, so it should
be fun. latin is of course hot. so it depends on whether you want to learn
more latin vs ballroom. i think you'll have fun either way.
foxtrot is usually considered the most difficult dance in ballroom but a
little social foxtrot is not hard at all. it's also played a lo |

knowledge of the supposedly dancesport dances. standard is analogous to
smooth, while the latin is parallel with rhythm. however, the difference
between
latin and rhythm is greater, like that guy stated, mainly because three dances
have different names(well, isn't that obvious). standard and the smooth
supposedly have the same techniques. however, because smooth dance has become

one of my coaches Nadia Eftedal is based there. she was 1993 blackpool pro
latin champion.the rest of the teachers there are good, too. also i think
there is a studio in torrance, where donald johnson and katarina kozak are.
they were the blackpool rising star latin champions for one year, and my guess
was around 2000.

definitely don't want to know how much money i have put into costumes :)
i've had 4 pairs of latin pants, 5 latin shirts, most of them were custom made
. they are probably over 2000 dollars (excluding those many pairs of shoes i
went thru). luckily, it is spreaded out over a span of 3, 4 years. and if you
count the countless number of lessons, uh, just too much.

the final exam. i think one piece was lyrical which required a lot of
techniques, and one was more hiphop-ish, and one was a latin styled jazz. and
of course, you can guess which one i liked the most. hehe.
(the teacher also teaches a latin dance class in the dance department.but he
knows some salsa, and that is about it. he was teaching chacha to break on 1.
but he is actually a very good dancer. i think he started danc |

as well depending on the floor condition. standard is a more technically
rigorous dance. why? is it because it has more technique to it? no. because it
is so simple that the only thing you can be judged on is the technique itself
. and that is why the chinese are doing better in latin than standard. you can
develop things on your own in latin, but you need some rigorous training in

去年的黑池latin RS栾江张茹第一次实现0的突破拿了冠军
他们俩今年换到职业组了， 成绩是前24名
今年RS latin冠军还是一对中国选手，刚才我转的那一对
今年中国总体成绩比日本和台湾都好
我的video都是一个朋友传给我的, 好几十个clips
其中印象比较深刻的是一个很有中国味道的rumba编舞"送别"
旗袍style的舞衣, 阮玲玉味道的音乐, 拿了CCTV电视舞蹈大赛国标组第一名
还有一集康熙来了, 小S把她的拉丁舞老师请来做节目,台湾第一的couple
这集节目做的很有趣, 5种舞的表演还有很多八卦爆料
不知道你们都看过没有, 我可以传给大家

how to choreograph a Latin routine?
There are some general rules for standard routines, for example, there needs
to be
contrasts, dynamics in speed, shape, etc. The picture line figures, namely
contra
check, left whisk, oversway..., are usually placed at the 3/4 of the long side
.
So i wonder what's the general rule for latin routine? and it'd be great if
someone
can do us a favor of choreographing a gold rumba routine.
