I do suggest start picking up ABA/floor time skills. Most of the ABA

可以先去city hall的law department 咨询。就说受到条子粗鲁对待。
可以先给police department 的chief写信，也可以再给major写信，不要写太多太详细
，不要纠缠你和学校的事，只写那个条子的事，某些意思要朦胧一些，比如条子暴力，
条子歧视等，
他们会给你打电话的，在电话里可以再露骨一点地质疑条子的暴力，歧视等，原文重复
那个条子的话绝对是有力的利器，（尽管无证人）一般情况下，如果你能重复条子歧视
的话，chief都会道歉。
police department 里面一般有internal fair之类的部门，在某些police department
可以issue citizen's complain. (不需要你是citizen)这些都是利器，在和major,
chief通话时要提及这些，表明你要和这个条子对抗到底的决心。
如果可以，让你信任的人作证，你平时平和，无暴力倾向。这些都会对chief, major产
生压力。
美国条子也是怕领导的。
当然你最好还是找一个lawer，我说的这些也有点用。

板感慨得说，D今天肯定很兴奋啊！我问为啥？老板说，08今天演讲结束后，D和她老公
今天要跟O8在一张桌子上吃饭！
D也算是我的一个间接的老板吧，本来她也被我老板邀请，跟我们一起吃午饭的，不知
道为何没来，出发之前我没敢问。到了饭店，我才知道的，看老板和同事的神情，貌似
美国人对跟总统一起吃饭也挺感到荣耀的啊。
我便顺便问了一下，为啥她被选中去跟O8吃啊。老板跟我娓娓道来，说她儿子是个
lawer,做得非常好，是白宫的counselor,因此父母被邀请了。然后我们就开始八卦了，
主题大概是她儿子咋有本事/门路进去的啊。结论是，她儿子非常优秀，开了个firm,做
得非常好，然后一路高歌进军了白宫。。。
最后，老板感谢我介绍这家中国餐馆，然后酸酸地说，今天D吃的肯定没有我们吃的好
！跟O8无非吃点southern style的chicken罢了，她会后悔没有跟我们来吃饭滴。。。

Remember, for first year comers, people can choose the option to be
counted
please don't say so, you could confuse a lot people. it depends , if you are
F1 you can be RA at 6th year, and case is different for other Visa. please
don't mix dual staus year with this concept. if you use common sense to deal
tax, you will be way out.
Remeber tax is a LAW( TAX CODE is not those Publications), people can argue

your salary. So if ther is no other issues, OPT is better for you.
You can only apply H1B visa 6 month in advance of the starting date.
If the lawer talked with you on May,1st, the earliest date he can apply
H1B for you is Nov,1st.
Once you start H1B, you could not switch back to OPT anymore. You cannot
do H1B stransfer before the its starting date. You can only apply a new one
if that's the case. |

Law only protects discrimination against a few things such as gender,
national origin, religion etc.
Company can fire an employee for all other reasons though it can be very
unfair.
I don't think any lawer will take you case unless you can provide very good
evidences.

Lawers make living with these guidelines and cover letters so my attorney
won't give me the electronic version. You can use the same format and some of
the sentences in the guideline. You may want to tune down a little bit and
focus on your potential as well as the criteria you met with NIW.

correct me if I am wrong.
1. Talk to your boss to get his/her approval
2. Shop around for lawers and fees
3. Contact lawyer to confirm the "contract"
(you want him/her to help you with the process, and you will pay)
4. Draft a job description (advertisement) w/o HR or your boss
5. Ask lawyer to look over and do some revisions
