一解答；
关于梅村买新房，主要就是找bulider，梅村builder 基本就是三大老，其他的都是跟
着后面打酱油，另外，ryan home 的 willow brook 虽然邮编是45040 但记住了，学区
是kings 的。 好吧，先介绍哈这前三家：
1) MI： Roberts parks 和 Ambleside: MI home 优点是格局比较open，尽量省去
living room 以及缩小 dinner room， 喜欢open plan 和现代风格的，可以考虑， 这
几个小区基本都是开发到第二期末尾了，稍微靠北一点，Roberts park 靠i75 而
Ambleside 靠i71； Roberts parks 均基本是500-550k， 而Ambleside 稍微便宜点，
一般400k起； Roberts park 最大优势就是紧挨 Cincinnati children's hospital的
区，outlets，未来开发商的热门地段，缺点是离小初中高太远，远离mason中心；

。（还是in person transaction）我们已经很久很久没去过沃尔玛了，这笔钱实在是
莫名其妙。关键是，我的卡还老老实实的躺在我钱包里，也没丢。不知道小偷是如何拿
到我的卡号，怎么刷的。
我去查我最近都在哪些地方消费，一般都是我经常消费的地方。只有一个在downtown那
个buffet 店是新近消费。具体哪家pm吧。 就是想给大家提个醒，最近注意信用卡安全

别人推荐当然住富人区
我觉得，大部分中国人其实并不富，却硬要挤着住富人区，这心态不好。
最好是选择适合自己收入还比较好的区，比如sqrill hill and shadyside，
自力更生把自己住的区搞漂亮些，这样时间长了，声誉好了，老美也认为
华人多的区是好区。
迷惑来自于好多人认为sqrill hill and shadyside就是PIT最好的富人区
其实PIT富人都住Mt. Lebanon or Fox chapel区. |

一般有家有口有工作买房子的中国人，很少会去SHADY和SQ HILL买房子吧。学生到是喜欢
在那边租房子，离学校、CITY近，又方便。
至于要住富人区，很多人是为了让自己的小孩能上好学校。而且话说回来，我就是喜欢住
富人区，喜欢这种挤入美国上层阶级的感觉，只要我买得起，谁又管得了我呢。难不成我
买房子前还得想想：“哎呀，我是中国人，和老美富人不搭调，还是不要在富人区买房子
了吧。”这不是自己看低自己么。 |

hill的房子旧就不说了，大都还贵，Walnut周围稍微好一点的房子都是half million 以
上，便宜的就很破，为什么要住这里？
Mt.Lebanon or Fox Chapel的房子都很贵，后者大部分都是上百万，估计很少有人会考虑
，实在不明白mike认为适合中国人的区在什么地方，但是估计mike也不愿意有黑人成天在
你家周围闲逛~~
最后，买房子还要肩负着树立华人形象的重要责任，希望mike同学做个榜样，或者给个范
例：匹兹堡的中国人应该怎样住。

Generally, Mt Lebanon is the oldest, USC is newer and North Allegheny
is the newest. Houses with best quality and style are found at
USC, houses build after 1985 tend to use more and more cheaper
materials, even for some a million dollar home.

好的学区：
north: north allegheny, fox chapel
south: Mt lebanon, upper st clair
可以参考滨州PSSA的考试结果，都在网上。
同一学区内，不同的学校差别也比较大。
匹兹堡以前是矿区，买的时候注意一点，代理有有关的资料.
另外，有的地区氡比较高。
匹大附近好区的房子比较贵，而且离east liberty, downtown
近，常有案件发生。 |

什么是TWP？
另外，如果工作地点在Monroeville区，如果购买north allegheny, sewickley, fox
chapel, mt lebanon and upper saint clair等好学区的房子，是否会给上下班带来很
大麻烦？堵车？每天的交通状况如何？住在那个区域更适合一些？

chapel，Pine Richland。 东部Monroeville学区好像一般。2500SQFT5年之内房子(好
学区)要$300k and up. Monroeville的房价要低些。 Pittsburgh North 的Property Tax 大概是2%， Pittsburgh
South 的Property Tax 大概是 3%. |

A 10 - 20 years old house, with 3000 SF living area,
The price will be around 400k.
At Mt. Lebanon Or Upper St Clair, that price can buy
a 30 - 50 yrs old house with about 2000 SF.
At Moon area, that price can buy a brand new house.
I knew some Jewish families, they bough their house in a very
remote area,and send their kids to private school for 2 days/wk,
and home school for the other days.
With 1M, you can find a decent new house in a go |

Upper Saint Clair (nerds are popular),
North Allegheny (Many new immigrants),
Fox Chapel (Shady side academy = one of the top school).
Hardly to say who is the #2 in "Good" SD.
All these areas -> SAFE, relatively.

light rail和公交车的专用隧道，基本不堵车。 |
