It’s not a huge victory, but it’s a victory nonetheless. Poker players
today saw what will hopefully be the first of many legislative triumphs on
the path to clarifying the legal status of online poker in the United States
as a bill by Rep. Barney Frank cleared the House Committee on Financial
Services today.
The Payments System Protection Act (H.R. 6870), introduced by Frank,
