专门寄了封信，说Athena周二早上5点半跳进她们家里，威胁到她们家一条14岁的老狗了
还把她们的porch踩的都是脚印。然后她把放回来，很响地敲了5分钟的门，不知道我们
是睡着了还是故意ignore。
措辞十分的mean，5号字，唐了一页的A4纸，还说不采取措施要告诉房东，plice和
animal control。
后来室友说是那天早上放Athena出去小便，然后就去睡觉了。回来看到还在院子里，更
本不知道发生了什么。可能是院子门没关，绝对不相信Athena现在能跳出1米4的fence。
然后带着室友去道歉，说上周自己不在，totally embarrassed。男主人很nice，真是
一个唱红脸一个唱黑脸啊。
看来下次也要学习马褂，请邻居来吃饭了。

发帖数: 61 | 15 昨天家里开了个小生日会，木兰吃了5大片牛肉，和一些她自己的奶酪生日蛋糕。她的
叔叔（我们的朋友）还给她买了各式的treats，我们像摸像样地给木兰唱了生日歌，拍
了些她张牙舞爪和一脸谗相的照片。等买了cable,我就给传上来。
上个月木兰跳到盖花的玻璃盖上，玻璃碎了，把整个脚面的皮肉都划开了，几乎可以看
见骨头，满地是血。幸好经过vet检查没有伤筋动骨，全麻之后做了个小手术给缝合了
，戴了三个礼拜的elizabeth collar，每天在笼子里面无聊地度日如年。这两天刚恢复
，白天让她在garden里自由活动了，结果上个周末大风，把garden一边的fence给刮倒
了。某人赶着给修好了。结果昨天木兰调皮，又跳过fence跑到邻居garden里了，肯定
是去追邻居家那两只猫，那两个猫兄弟经常调戏木兰，跑到我家garden的树上，望着她
，有一次还在garden里给木兰留了只死鸟。。。结果，木兰又只能暂时待在cage里了，这个周末得赶紧把另外那边的fence修好。
总之，木兰一岁了！是大姑娘了。我们很爱她。希望今年快点儿给她找到个小伙伴。

这个推荐给以后想做系统生物学的同学，大概是我这两年半的时间里，看过的一些文章
的通讯作者。因为系统生物学本身暂时没有一个特别固定的研究套路，但是会有几个比
较有前途的方向，list里面的这些人大都是系统生物学领域里提出过很多新方法和新想
法的人，当然系统生物学并不是一个新的学科，只是系统生物学这个名词出现于1999年
左右，因为目前深入到分子水平以后，生物系统的复杂性超出人们的想象。所以目前我
们所说的系统生物学只是处于起始阶段，有很多人提出了很多种观点和研究方法，也有
很多人风光一时，但是后来又被时代的马车抛弃了。
鉴于我水平有限，这个只是介绍一下我知道的一些实验室，大部分是通过读文章了解的
，所以应该也比较有限，也许会涉及到一些Synthetic Biology的，不会太多。

, probably not to the same extend as Broad Institute. If you think about it,
Broad is doing everything ISB set off to do, only better.
Both Abersold and Aderem have moved on. Now that systems biology and
personalized medicine are everywhere in the academic journals, Hood has done
his part.
I'm not sure how much scientific details he care for now. He is nonetheless

unsurpassable barrier in the near future(20ys or even longer) although

stuff...the overall state of the art...what's doable/achievable in the next

it is actually quite difficult to give a rigorous definition that make sense

Many scholars actually have different understandings of what EMH is..
LeRoy (1989) "Efficient capital markets and martingales" is a pretty good
discussion about this topic.. Among others, he pointed what is wrong with

replaced by more specific definitions. That is how sciences progress. LeRoy
was trying to be basic (thanks for the reference by the way), by saying:
"The central idea of efficient capital market theory is that securities
prices are determined by the interaction of self-interested rational agents."
Unfortunately, with all kinds of market imperfections, almost any

大部份人都有这么一个观念，认为如果要从事重体力的运动，必需要吃鱼肉来补充体力
。但是事实上，运动选手的例子却带给我们很好的反思。
大英百科全书记载着划时代经典实验
1904 年比利时大学的舒特登（ H. Schouteden ）对人的手臂进行了研究，他比较
素食者和食肉者的耐力、力量和疲劳消除的速度，结果显示，素食者在三方面都较强。
1907 年耶鲁大学的经济学家费希尔（ Irving Fisher ）进行耐力试验，他比较于
食用动物蛋白饮食的运动员和食用素食蛋白的运动员，实验做法是尽可能长时间地将手
保持水平、脸朝上仰卧向上伸腿、两膝以下弯曲，结果证实，素食者的耐力远超过食肉
者。
正式国家级运动员都有标准的饮食分配他们大多是以素为主而在膳食金字塔里边鱼肉食
量不宜超过食量的百份之二十

。面向西方拍摄这张照片的11月晚上，是一个晴朗无云的暗夜，照片涵盖范围略大于
180度，曝光时间长达3小时。南天极位在左侧同心弧的中央，而北天极位在照片的右
端。天球赤道附近的星星则会沿着赤道落下，在照片中央留下了一道道直直的星流迹
。在这张经过细心规划的组合全景照片中，明白地指出夜空中的星星会产生星流迹，
并不是因为个别星星的运动，而是由于地球本身在自转！
