have much choice. transplantation is the best one. However it is always hard
to find a matching donor. Chemo is the 2nd best one and from my point of
view, should be the standard procedure until toxicity is high (which is rare
for well known drugs). There should be some good drugs for acute
lymphoblastic leukemia with big price tag. Radiation is the cheapest one. I
think you are talking about radiation therapy. |

发帖数: 898 | 18 这个我要跳出来说一下，现在成功了的immuno therapy主要分两种
一个是antibody based，原理是癌细胞里的变异蛋白理论上是可以被自身免疫系统识别
为non self然后引起免疫反应杀死这些细胞的。但是由于癌细胞表达一些免疫抑制的蛋
白，导致自身的免疫系统无法识别这些细胞。现在的办法就是用抗体来neutralize这些
细胞表面的免疫抑制蛋白，从而重新激活免疫识别使癌细胞被杀死。在有的病人身上效
果非常好，有的melanoma patients在最初的治疗之后，十几年不需要任何治疗，也再
没有任何症状，对癌症来说，这就算使cure了。
另外一种使cell based，主要是对B细胞leukemia，原理是让自身的T细胞识别并杀死所
有B细胞。这种手段是personalized，在有的人身上效果也很好。
写这些的目的是说要相信科学，不要盲目下结论。当然癌症非常复杂，可能没法找到一
个疗法对所有人都有用，现在的另外一个方向就是如何通过诊断来提前判断病人会对什
么regimen有response |
