Toronto. It is a
very nice one. The most well know Lieder writer is Schubert.
But almost all
German - Austrian composers had some masterpieces in it.
Beethoven's circle
'An die ferne Geliete'(To the lover far way) and 'Maigesang'
(Song of May)
are both attractive. 'Ich liebe dich' is simple but
impressive. My best loved
one is his 'Adelaide'. The melody is spacious and moving,
showing the faith to
lover to death.

and all the examples you have shown seem to reflect deep human nature
'directly' by those non-musical means. thus rock and classical can not
be compared in this way. we can only compare those with libretto in
classical music, like lieder, with rock. in this term, we can see they
excell in their own field by different styles.

The romantic generation has an aesthetics of their own. They find beauties
in fragments, works that start from the middle and end without resolutions.
Some lieder by Schumann are examples of this taste for transitory beauties.
Many of Chopin's preludes fall in this category. Most of his nocturnes have
a larger structure than such fragments, but the majority of they simply are
not meant to express dramatics or to tell epics, which are more typical of

[0.1 挑选的原则]
每个这样的单子都必然是很主观的。我在这个单子里想强调两方面：
a. 我们今天所知的音乐的源头和开始在17——19世纪初。当然音乐史是连续的，但是
我们今天所知的音乐的核心——现代调性体系是在这个时期建立的。
b. 20世纪音乐。我个人作为一个对音乐有兴趣的人，很难对我们自己时代的音乐不感
兴趣。我觉得尽可能听新的音乐，对每个喜欢音乐的人都有很大的好处。这不是一个喜
欢不喜欢的问题。你需要抛除偏见，给新音乐一个机会，谁知道你会发现什么呢？所以
我加上了一些20世纪的重要作曲家的作品(当然他们也已经不是今天的作曲家了！)。
基于以上两个考虑，我建议主要从这些作曲家开始：18-19世纪：巴赫，亨德尔，海顿
，莫扎特，贝多芬，舒伯特，勃拉姆斯；20世纪：德彪西，勋伯格，斯特拉文斯基等。

aus drei Ja hrtausender,1中引用法国启蒙思想家伏尔泰的上述名言作为该书的书前
题辞时，我们有理由相信他对此是深有会心的。书名“兰露”出自屈原《离骚》“朝饮
木兰之坠露兮”。记得初读此书，其封面设计曾给笔者留下很深的印象，那就是封面四
周的边框里每一边都镶嵌了一个同样的名字：“李太白”。大概在豪思孟的心目中，李
白是足以作为中国诗代表的伟大诗人。英国汉学家克兰默-宾(L.CranmerByng)为其
1909年出版的中国诗译本取名为《玉琵琶》(A Lute of Jade)，他的封页的这个标题下

而这个 " 伤感的调子 ", 是十分典型的巴西夜店音乐。第一个视频中, 钢琴伴奏非常有效的带出舞步的节奏，而歌手的唱腔十分完美。我只是嫌她唱得太斯文, 而欠缺这类 Cabaret 应有的烟酒味。而第二视频( 从 4:32 开始。 ), 是原装管弦乐伴奏，并由名巴西女高音 比杜·赛昂( Bidu Sayao, 1902 - 1999 )主唱 ( 1959年录音 )。
