insurance。到底哪一种比较好呢？ 我先给大家介绍一下Group term life insurance
和Individual Term life insurance的利与弊。
1. Individual Term life insurance是个人直接通过保险经纪人向不同的人寿保险公
司买的term life insurance。通常有1年的term，10 year term， 15 term，20 year
term 和30year term。个别公司还提供25year term和35 year term life insurance。
10 year term表示在10年内保证保费不变。其他类推。
Group term life insurance 是公司员工通过公司提供的福利，经由保险经纪
人向人寿保险公司买的term life insurance。通常是1 year的term，需要每年注册加
入，保费可能每年不同。

如果夫妻30左右有工作有娃有大量房贷，该买哪个呢？精华区文章http://www.mitbbs.com/bbsann2/life.faq/Money/insurance/lifeinsurFAQ/Life+Insurance+FAQ+Version+0.2说这种情况该买term，可是我有点不明白的是，如果买了30年的term，30年之后等我们60的时候再转为Permanent，岂不是因为年龄很大需要多花很多钱才能转啊？为什么不能直接买个Permanent呢？
还有一个基本问题：是不是不管term还是permanent，病死都会赔钱啊？那就是说

insurance。有几个问题想请教一下
1. 关于Coverage Duration。夫妻两人都是early 30's，是买20年还是30年term？30年
的话能差不多cover到退休，20年的话，如果到50's再想继续买，是不是premium就会很
高了？
2. Term life insurance的policy holder必须得有工作才行吗？比如单职工家庭的话
，上班那位肯定要买，不上班那位也能买吗？
3. 前几天看到一个老美blog说孩子一出生爷爷奶奶就给孩子买了life insurance当作
礼物吧,不知道是term 还是whole life，这种给刚出生孩子买life insurance是有什么
讲究吗，为啥要给小小孩买呢？

这个听上去是term life insurance。每个月91好像有点贵。如果真想买，需要货比三
家。
Life insurance有两种，term or whole life。Term是有时间限制的, whole life 是
到人死或到期，比如100岁。
对美国人的生活方式来说，life insurance 有其优点。典型的一家人有孩子和房屋贷
款，一旦收入来源断掉了，比如只有父亲工作，父亲过世，那么保险会帮助母亲和孩子
度过经济难关。
但对不是美国的居民来说，这个变数很多。是否一定要在美国待下去，是否有房屋贷款
，手上的存款能维持生活几个月，等等等等，都要考虑。
有钱人买whole life insurance有其原因，主要是保险金不作为收入，不必交税。如果
是VUL，还可以多存钱进去，避免遗产税。Term insurance没有这些用处。穷人一般买
term life insurance，比如有幼儿期间。
买不买，一定要看自己的情况，自己决定。不能听agent的话。很多agent将生活中的非
常态当作常态来讲，非常迷惑人。 |
