Otherwise, if those were just bloced by xp's security, log on as
admin and change the security settings. You sound like using xp

Add/Remove Windows Components. Windows 2003 emphasize security much and your
server is not supposed to be used as a desktop to surf internet and install
garbages on a server.
You can use group policy editor to edit your local mahcine policy and disable
evetn tracker. Run gpedit.msc, Computer Config->Admin Templates->System,
Display Shutdown Event Tracker, Remove Boot/Shutdown/Logon/Logooff status
messages.

runs a bounch of programes, it seems all fine. but bad luck happens after I
added the memory, the system won't start. Here's what's happening

logitech registry entries. Now the keyboard doesn't work too.
Now the situation is,
PS/2 keyboard, PS/2 mouse, all USB unplugged, all works well in Linux. But on
Win2003 (same PC) keyboard no response, mouse works in the logon screen, but
when I press a key, mouse stops working. Seems some conflicts there. But even
I disconnect mouse, keyboard still not working.

I changed the system permission on registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/*, and
rebooted, now, I always get a startup blue screen, cannot get to the logon
screen, the same for Safe Mode.
Blue screen first line:
STOP: C000021a Unknown Hard Error.
Is there any way I can recover to the registry before I made the change?

When logon, it says
This copy of windows must be activeated with microsoft before you can log on.
Do you want to activate windows now?
IF no, go back to log on window.
IF yes, it says
Windows is already activated. Click OK to exit.
Then it goes back to Log On Windows again.
Evrything starts from beginning.
I can not get out of the loop.
I can enter Safe Mode, but can only do limited operations.

所以我到administrative tools -> computer management -> local users and
groups -> users-> xxx -> properties -> Profile tab,在Profile path里面输入新
的目录(不是网络，仍然是在本地硬盘上，只是换了一个分区)。一开始几次启动很正常，系统把设置都拷贝到那里去了（可以看见建立了正常
的系统目录如Favorites等）。但是随后启动logon的时候就再也读不出来了，总是说
access denied。这是怎么回事？如何修正？

3. 比较官方的做法, secpol.msc /s,local policies -> user rights assignment
-> allow logon through Terminal Servies, 把administraotrs删掉
然后在远程桌面那里把自己加入允许列表 |

因为系统最近老是弹出IE窗口，我就试图用系统自带的restore
function恢复到问题发生之前一天。整个restore过程没有问题，
但是没有解决IE弹出窗口的问题，正当我准备reverse这个过程
的时候，系统死机了。重启后蓝屏，错误显示
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a stat
us of 0xc0000000 (0x00000000 0x0000000)
The system has been shutdown.
再也不能进入系统了。由于机器有我的很多照片，所以不愿format掉重装。
问题发生后我google了一些solution，但是都不成功。包括
1.F8选择last good configuration；
2.F8选择safe mode;
3.用Winxp CD启动==>Load Recove |

现在还是vista，可以借个盘装XP吗？还是要先卸掉vista？
