I am not a fan of Li Na at all. I don't see the reason why she has to be put
out there for the whole year while others not.
I am a fan of Nole so should I request him on the logo for the whole year?
Is that fair to all the other non-Nole fans?
Same logic. Li Na won FO so by rule she should be there. But she should not
be there for the whole year cause it is not fair to non-Li Na fans. They don
't want to see her face every single day when she's not the champion.

We can put her maybe in a corner in addition to the GS champions for a
longer period of time than just till Wimbleton (suppose she did not win the
next GS).
In fact, some champs always get to be put on the board logo for a longer
period of time due to the timing. There's no absolute fairness anyway.

1. People want Li Na as logo simply because they want to share their joy
and proud of being Chinese, not necessarily because of being Li Na’s fan.
Other fans should not feel offended, nor to be mad or aggressive, unless you
don’t fan China.
2. A full BBS vote is not necessary either; BM’s should make the
decision together. We can’t vote for everything.
3. 1 year is too long; a temporary change like a week or two will be
enough to show our support and gratitude.

The whole thing is, if you break up the rule, then there's always the next.
So by your saying, Li Na's logo will be up there . Two days later, I propose
to put FF's upthere instead . I open a thread, vote myself, plus a couple
FF fans, more than objection votes then declare the victory. Are you going
to take Li Na off and put FF there instead? |

You are saying majority people want to share the joy of Li's victory. Which
they have plenty opportunities, like posting their thought of "a
breakthrough for chinese tennis".
And I cannot and will not stop people from doing so. That's their right.
I am arguing that for this particular logo issue, there's a fundamental
problem here. There's a rule and a tradition in this board. By breaking the
