high speeds over longish
periods (like the Pronghorn). When pushed (by humans) animals like horses
and sled dogs can preform
extraordinary feats of endurance. But as for long (marathon and up) distance
in the "wild" humans would
probably take the cake. So while some other animals might run a faster
marathon if we made them, we're

放假以来，我和他共同support两个hourly的本科生开发一个手机为基础的senor有关的
平台。当然了，学生主要是他来管。我上周有两次经过他门口，听见其中一个学生问，
下午早走一个钟头行不行，他说行。我当时惊得嘴巴都合不上。我只是每周问一下学生
进度，具体时间他们自己安排。没有想到这个同事真的要求学生定点坐班，怪不得这么
出活。这两周据说他大多数学生放假回家。放假就是放假，回来就是full time，界限
清晰。
当然不同学科可能在管理上“稍有出入”（我还是认为出入不该太大）。我现在总体对
学生的感觉就是，太多人当自己是个天才了。老师不能管，不能催，不能问。他不是用
来干琐碎或者boring的活的，老天生他就是专门（只）干大事业的。这是从小学习好被
夸太多了的后遗症吗？最好就是他每天在草坪上晒太阳，然后指不定那一天，就“哐嗤
”掉下来个惊世骇俗的idea，不仅他做出大发现，也顺便带携一下老板。如果我说，这
种人不是没有，少，大概有千分之一，估计没人会反对。但偏偏都还认为自己是那千分

nearly a decade now. Actually, that's not true, because my wife and son
recently became citizens, a mere 8.5 years after we started the process. My
daughter, on the other hand, was "lost" in the bureaucracy, and was not
included with my wife's petition for some reason. We're not sure how she
could have been lost, since her name appears on EVERY FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER

I had similar experience.
Renew my EAD, my wife got it in 2 monthes
my case:
1. inquiry why still no where to find after 3 monthes
2. told us it's approved on month ago, wait for 30 days
(although the online status says initial review)
nothing happened after 30 days
3. seconde inquiry, told us approved two monthes ago, asking us to wait 9
days
then I got a letter saying the case is not even scanned (WTF)

How do you tell if you've got a problem? Mount a longish lens on your camera
and tripod (a 70-200mm or similar will do). Frame a shot with the tripod
head loosened. Tighten the head down. Did your shot move? If yes, then you'
