moore: system qb with weak arm strength. no future IMHO. 2nd day. |

result is not determined by luck at all. it is purely skill ( the term
skill, i guess, is relative to luck and does not mean pure technical skill.

中的位置，我想他们或者脑子中已经被 luck 在长期内是 even out 洗过，或者是因为
他们很自豪自己所谓的技术。
其实想想，在这坛子里混的，大家都是 amateur，真有谁技术上是 head and shoulder
above others，也不见得。那些打 high stake 的 pros 里，patrick antonius 可能
水平高一些，Barry, and Brunson and Tom Dwan are excellent, 其他人那些玩意，
也就是半斤八两，剩下的还不是由运气决定。
我觉得 poker 本质上，就是决定在运气好的时候怎么多赢钱，运气差的时候 stay out
of way. Poker 只是多给你一个选择可以 play people.
另外 flyking 说我舍不得放弃 AA, KK 这种大对，其实我最怕就是打这种对子，因为
outs 实在太少 （2 个），好多时候都是给 out draw，尤其是 KK, QQ。我在 Casino

a lot) understanding of aggression, stack size, read, steal, re-steal,
squeeze play, range, taking notes,...
now like i said, 70% skills, 30% luck, within same skill level (too small
edge against each other), luck factor could be even higher.
as for 盲目崇拜pros, i guess the 盲目 part is too much, haha.
pros all started like us, $50 (tom dwan) or some restaurant owner (david
chiu), had big ups and downs, johnny chan turned $50 |

a deep slump right now, luck wise.
I said before when you feel you are in a streak of bad luck, the best way to
go is to quit playing for awhile instead of keeping playing and hope it
will turn around. You probably on tilt anyway and keep playing may make you
make more technical mistakes. That is my advice.
I am an amateur here, no shame to admit it. So losing $300-$400 one session
is a lot. I just play poker for fun. Bu |

The side of the story I heard is that the GFP cloned by Prasher did not emit
fluorescence as it should have. Martin Chalfie did a PCR cloning based on
his construct and fixed that problem. I think it is fair that Prasher still
gets quite a bit money for selling the patent. However, he is not creative
at all when luck strikes, not simply personality problem. He is blind about
the big picture.

Most people do not spend any significant amount of time thinking about their
wording in an email response like this. It is one of the dozens of emails
they reply everyday, so they just type whatever comes to mind at that moment
. Most people only carefully select their words if it is an important
message. A polite reply to a thank you note is not an important message to
them.
