早上起来, 雨终于停了. 到今天我们自带的食物除了一些小零食外, 就已经弹尽粮绝了
. 于是一早我们就驱车前往JASPER TOWN. 这个小镇也颇为热闹. 今天又恰巧是CANADA
DAY, 也就是加拿大的国庆日. JASPER TOWN到处都挂着国旗, 中午有PARADE, 晚上还有
烟火表演.
我们先去了A&W吃早餐. 那里有很好吃的HOT CHOCOLATE, 和HASH BROWN. 接下来便是
VISITOR CENTER. 打探好了要去的地方就上路了.
第一站是MALIGNE CANYON. 这是ROCKY MOUNTAIN里最大的峡谷, 完全由山上的雪水冲击
而成. MALIGNE CANYON从上游到下游一共有6座桥. 我们从第二座桥HIKE到了第三座桥.
然后就继续往山上开车, 前往MALIGNE LAKE. 路经MEDICINE LAKE, 也有着令人心旷神
怡的美景. 湖边的解说里提到, MEDICINE LAKE得名是由于湖水在每年的10月以后全部

发帖数: 746 | 2 have to agree with you, Dr. 二饼，partially. 因为先天不足，CMG要付出比其他
IMG更多的辛劳。有些malignant的program要take advantage,也没有办法。this is
how the system works. 任何行业都是这样。
从前斑竹的角度来看，论坛biased有两点原因：
1。成绩好的更愿意和大家分享，成绩不好的因为觉得没面子就不愿意冒头，造成好像
99唾手可得的假象。其实教训和经验一样重要。
2。愿意发言的一般personality比较外向，interpersonal communication相对好些，
可能IV效果相对好些，match结果也比较鼓舞人心。
不过我觉得bias也有两方面的作用：
1。可能没有给大家一个全面的认识，这是不好的一面。
2。考版的压力很大，一个激励的环境还是很有帮助的。既然进malignant的比不进好，
那么其他的进了之后再考虑好了，现阶段就要心无旁骛的专心考版。从这点来看，也不
是什么坏事了。
anyway，修行靠自身。torture是暂时的，为了行医的终极目标，也只能咬牙坚持。 |

昨天，这些人折腾了一天，白天，晚上皮啦啦，也不知道谁把谁杀了，谁把谁带走了。
反正我先生和孩子被绑架了，就不知道是不是已经遇害了。我本来是打算睡觉的，但他
们头上，地下装电磁波攻击器，让我几乎窒息。虽然我没倒下，但其实他们在我身上扎
的毒针已经蔓延，我能感觉到我的呼吸有窒息的感觉。我想我对他们已经非常仁慈了，
但他们不依不饶地攻击我，欲置我于死地，让我非常生气，特别是肆意伤害我家里的人
，绑架我先生和孩子，而且有许许多多无辜的生命毁于他们之手，有必要把他们曝光。
当然我还没分析这里边是那几个人具体攻击我，伤害我的，但他们显然都是一伙的。鉴
于他们伤害我的头部，胸部 和胃部，我就把这几部分的医生都曝光，受害者慢慢去调
查，追查他们吧。

发帖数: 494 | 6 从Jasper镇出发向南行驶在Maligne Lake Road大约10多公里，我们来到落基山区中最
长、最深、景致最奇特的峡谷——Maligne Canyon。这个是Maligne River河水经过万
年不断冲刷岩石而形的峡谷，石灰岩石壁深度超过50米。峡谷有一条步道，蜿蜒穿过峡
谷；这条步行道经过跨越峡谷的六座桥梁，约3公里直落山下。沿途可以欣赏到峡谷地
形之幽深险奇，外加流水喘急的众多小瀑布以及开阔的河谷。

离开峡谷继续向南，大约18公里左右会经过Medicine Lake（魔法湖）。在古老的印第
安传说，Medicine有着魔法的意思，这是源于是早期印地安人见湖水春夏充盈，然而秋
冬干涸，以为有妖魔在湖中施法，因故得名。现代科学的解释是夏天冰雪融化往下流时
，Medicine Lake就水满湖碧；但到了冬天结冰时节，奇特的地形使得大部分水由地下
流走，湖水因而渐渐干涸，湖底也会裸露出来。

十来分钟开到了Peyto Lake/Peyto Glacier（4星）,这个peyto也是个悲情人物，我隐
约记得书上写他是最早来这里发觉这篇美丽的自然资源的，最后他掉到这个湖里面去死
掉了。书上写的要hiking 30分钟，所以我预留了1个半小时给这个湖，结果其实10分钟
就到观景台了。观景台可以看到peyto glacier和peyto lake，还有一个手动发电的解
说器，有日文，英文，德文和法文。
这个时间有点太早，一个人都没有，湖面还都被山树的阴影覆盖。是少数几个清晨不太
好看的湖。我们看看冰川，另外把各种语言的解说都听了一遍，等了差不多20分钟，阳
光才开始照到湖上，湖顿时亮了很多，可惜我们安排比较满不能再等了，要不然等阴影
完全没有了，一定更美。

发帖数: 494 | 9 很早就听说北美最美的地方当属加拿大落基山区的国家公园。这里有着多样化的自然景
观，冰川，湖泊，雪山，瀑布，峡谷，风光壮丽、引人入胜。整个落基山脉从北至南穿
越加拿大、美国直到墨西哥，纵横近5000公里，可以说是北美洲的脊梁。加拿大境内的
洛基山脉两侧方圆近三万平方公里的土地上，分布着四个世界遗产级的国家公园(Banff
/Yoho/Jasper/Kootenay)以及三个省立自然保护公园，还有众多零散的动物保护中心，
自然保护区公园等等。我们此行计划去其中三个Banff/Yoho/Jasper，其他公园不如这
三个有名，时间有限就略去了。
关于加拿大落基山游的最佳时间，大多数游客会选择在旅游旺季7，8月份；我们则选择
了9月中旬，避开旅游高峰，天气不错，同时也可以欣赏到初秋更加丰富的色彩。在游
览这些国家公园时，路上顺便游览了温哥华和西雅图两座城市，一共9天旅程。

Jasper位于canadian rockies的北部，是canadian rockies 3个国家公园（jasper,
yoho & banff）当中面积最大的公园。对于从东部去的筒子们，飞到calgary
international airport， 然后租车是比较实际的玩法。如果去的话，需要差不多1到2
天的样子。主要景点包括：maligne canyon, mt.edith cavell, athabasca falls&
glacier, columbia icefield, tramway, malign lake.
因为公园的面积很大，为了避免在路上耽误很多的时间，第一天可以把旅馆定在北边，
然后着重玩北边的景点：maligne canyon, mt.edith cavell, 高兴的话也可以坐缆车
。这3个景点在我看来，前2个是必须要去的，尤其是mt.edith cavell, 当雄伟的高山

disease your dad is having yet.
no matter whether it is a malignant or non-malignant (I am not using "benign
" here) condition, it should be diagnosed and properly treated as early as
possible. "non-malignant" doesn't mean it must have a better outcome than
malignant diseases.
when i see such specious "diagnosis," I often have the urge to make a big
red cross over it. I really feel sorry for those patients.

总共花了8天时间，感觉还是挺赶得。由于天气变化莫测，下了很多雨，很多想去爬山的路线都只好忍痛放弃。
第一天飞到Calgary,然后开往Banff到Lake Louise青年旅社住下。 顺便看了下著名的Lake Louise.第一次看到这种蓝色的冰川湖，还是很兴奋的。但是不知道为什么，总觉得湖水脏脏的，很milky. 延着湖走到了2.5km尽头，才发觉的其实应该过几天走plainof six glaciers一起走的。当时天已晚，就没有继续下去。 可惜的是，之后因为下了很多雨，plain of six glaciers一直就没去成。

如果看风景，走highline trail，很长，走完需要一天。如果看冰川，从many glacier
出发，去grinnel lake 和grinnel glacier，都是山路，很值得，来回6个小时。
banff np,
banff小镇值得逛逛，johnston canyon trail, castle mountain viewpoint trail可
以爬一爬，景色不如后面的。
lake Louise np,
lake louise沿湖trail一直爬到plain of six glaciers，风景很赞。
moraine lake trail.
yoho里面，
一定去lake o'hara走走，明额有限，需要提前3个月预定shuttle。
还有一个瀑布，名字不记得了，来回一个小时，正好可以消磨时间。
jasper np
走走哥伦比亚冰川，冰河下面有个短途trail，看看冰川融化年份标记。
去peyto lake看看风景，不用走trail。
malign canyon从瀑布顶端走到底部，落差很大，下去上来40分钟。

一带花钱旅游项目主要是几个 gondola, Columbia icefield 加 划船.
Gondola. 主要有三个. 在 Lake Louise, Banff, Jasper (Jasper 的叫Tramway).
我觉得不心疼银子的话都还值得坐坐. 我们坐了Lake Louise 和 Jasper 的. 本来
BANFF 的也想坐, 但人太多没去.
Lake Louise 我强烈推荐这个, 山顶上四周望去, 高山加冰川, 下面还能看见
Lake Louise. 风景好于 Jasper 的, 估计也高于BANFF的. 可以说是这次旅行最令人
难忘的景色. 可以和Denali 比. 而且可以选择坐开放式的椅子上去. 小孩很喜欢,
有恐高的要注意. 它的卖点是看熊, 还有个表, 哪天有人看到熊了. 我们去的时候,
表上显示前面一个月基本上每天都人看到熊了, 我们一上一下, 是什么都没看见. 下
面餐厅有 buffet, 中午的话买联票, 很划算.

Calgary出发，banff, Bow Falls，johnston canyon, moraine lake, lake louise
banff小镇挺漂亮的，小镇的bow fall就一般般了，比不上公园里无数的其他fall，
johnston canyon挺不错的，
赶上阴天和小雪，moraine lake, lake louise没有给我带来太多惊喜

yoho (natural bridge, emerald lake), 回头往jasper走， bow lake, peyto lake
yoho的takakkaw falls关了，ohara也关了要走22公里来回
emerald lake当时也是阴天，有点冷，要不划船应该感觉不错
在bow lake附近见了3头熊，非常兴奋哈，其中一头在我们车绕了一圈，还有一只呆在
bow lake三个多星期了，那酒店的人说的。这4天，见到熊比鹿还多
peyto很漂亮，不可思议的蓝，虽然也是阴天小雪

unless your dad has history of chronic alcohol use/recurrent pancreatitc or
autoimmune disease, most likely this mass is malignant, especially with his
weight loss and atypical onset of newly diagnosed diabetes,
you might want to ask his doctor what does the purpose of biopsy will serve,
as a benign tissue from the biopsy will not exclude neighboring tissues
with malignant cells, depends on the location of the mas |
