dolphin）之间有5种intermediate and transitional fossils，都是在过去20年发现
的，在印度和巴基斯坦那边，跟terrestial mammal和swimming mammal的化石数量比较

那个学生看了我翻译过的问题，说“蜘蛛是不是昆虫”很简单，“什么是无穷大”太难
了——他正在学calculus所以他还是知道
这个东西的难度的。他解释mammal, fish, bird区别的时候，犯了最常见的错误：认为
mammal都产仔不产卵。（不过他
知道鸭嘴兽，可能是长时间不想脑筋急转弯，疏忽了）。
最后他说：很多问题，小学生还是能回答的，但是长大了反而忘了，因为用不着。
看来，美国教育还是有些东西的，但是教的屠龙之技也不少，不见得就多牛。 |

我要替中国辩护，并不是因为我是一个中国人，而是因为我知道中国就和这世界上绝大
数的国家一样，虽然有很多丑陋的现象，但是他们是受害者。就
象这个犯罪集团里很多的人一样，他们来自各种种族，他们可能充当了工具，但他们不

中有些片断还是给偶留下了深刻印象，让偶产生了一些感想。
比如，影片中因为大地震，大家（就是影片中那些史前的会说话会思想的大象、老虎、
长颈鹿等等）只得迁徙到另一个遥远的乐土，路上大家都心情十分沉重，沉默不语地低
头赶路，唯有两只长的好怪的mammals一直在有唱有笑，一点也木有忧伤，一只鼹鼠忍
不住问，Doesn't it worry you that this is the end of the world?两只mammals互
相看了一眼，然后很神秘地低声告诉那只鼹鼠，I guess we can tell you our secret
... Because we're really, really stupid!偶当时就乐得笑出声来，可是周围的老美
似乎没什么人笑。
回来的路上，偶仔细这么一琢磨，偶乐是因为偶想起难得糊涂，傻人有傻福；老美不乐
大概是他们的文化里从来也没有认为stupid也是一种造化的想法，又或者他们认为那个
情节是在告诫人们正视气候变暖吧，总之不好笑。
