day (Yesterday) and no waiting lift line. The snow was good enough for
cruise. I tried my new 184 Mantra on. Not feel great on groomed runs, but
pretty sure I can handle it for now. Expect more fun on powder.
Let it snow, let it snow, snow...... |

f********y 发帖数: 883 | 4 not really, my mantra is 184cm and works perfect :) |

special ski比较好,所以估计需要4副板:powder, mogul,carve, and park :)
如果你不愿意烧钱,有不是专门奔着powder去的话,我强烈推荐我的head mojo 80 or 90, very good performance so far in almost every terrain, 就是base比较容易伤,当然我用的也有点狠 :) |

Head mojo
VOLKL Mantra
not
,
but I am sure it should be awesome :) |

也可以all moutain.
比如 volkl mantra, 或者 head mojo94, rossignol bandit 94
来。 |

us the key, I got free demo skis for all 6 days (my friend was a little
jealous, needless to say :))
Vail was snowing for 5 days every day, we got to ski plenty of wet and
sometimes heavy powder every day.
day 1: 2008 Volkl Mantra. Very nice skis. The guy in ski shop recommended to
pick this instead of the newer 2009 version. Handles soft snow very well
and turns well. I was quite impressed that they went well in the "ste |

s*******r 发帖数: 1285 | 23 It floats well if the snow is not too deep. If it's really a big dump, then
powder skis are needed. |
|
m***h 发帖数: 23691 | 24 shogun handles powder much better
AC50 will be miserable in Tahoe area.
then |
|
s*******r 发帖数: 1285 | 25 Nay ... I don't think so. It really depends on how big the dump is.
Also, talking about Tahoe, it also depends on where you ski. If you ski
groomed like most Heavenly's trails, I don't think that you will enjoy
carving on a 100 mm waist. However, you may be right if it's at Kirk.
Again, if it's a dump day, powder skis are preferrable. |
|
|
s*******r 发帖数: 1285 | 27 OK OK ... Yes ma'am you are right if you believe so. Maybe this becomes a
religious debate. I haven't tried Salomon Shogon yet, so I cannot say
anything about that. Maybe it's good too!
Yes, we are talking about all mountain skis especially the skis for big
mountains. And I think that we are also talking about one pair of skis that
can do cooking, laundry, shopping ... almost everything. I try demo many
new skis every season, and I found that AC50 performs better than others.
Besides, I am...

39 | 40 Not try to disagree.
One of my best ski friends got a pair of 2011 shogun early this season.
He is the best carving skier I have seen in this small New England ski
resort. He skied about 20 yrs, >50 times per year recently. His
previous one is 2009 tigershark 8 foot (maybe that is the reason:)).
The shogun looks very pretty in the snow. He told me they are light,
works very good in crud, easy to turn in mogul, much better than 8 feet
in powder. But it is difficult to carve, to "trust the edge".

W*****5 发帖数: 408 | 42 Demo-ed this one as well. Same impression. Great on pow (the fattest I
skiied so far). Can't go fast on groom runs with it. |

W*****5 发帖数: 408 | 43 Good timing on my part then:) Not sure if I can make time for it. May go to
Whistler the week after. |

m***h 发帖数: 23691 | 44 It depends where you ski. Shogun is the best all mountain ski on the west
coast reviewed by many pros. |
