little confused:
In above thread several people mentioned "creek view", however, according to
the subarea plan http://www.sandiego.gov/planning/community/profiles/pacifichighlandsranch/plan.shtml),there is a still a large area marked "LD" north of Manzanita Trail; "LD" stands for "Low Density Residential", so I think that means there'll be more (and probably a lot more) houses north of Manzanita Trail in the future.

Highlands Ranch比较了解的朋友和同样有兴趣的朋友指教：
偶对Pacific Highlands Ranch/Manzanita Trail房子的理解如下：
× 离56距离正好，不是太远也不是太近，离开Del Mar Heights 近，10分钟到海边，7
分钟到Carmel Valley Middle School，5分钟到Torrey Pines High School，15-20分
钟到Sorrento Valley，不走高速。
×偶们喜欢的是小户型，觉得价钱还比较合适。虽然没有后院，只有一个courtyard，
但偶们买来主要是自己住，不到不得已估计不会卖，而且也不喜欢伺候院子就无所谓了。
× 火灾：Pacific Highlands Ranch是2000年左右开始开发的，之前是农田，土壤地理
没有发现有什么大问题，也没有过火灾。但是，这个区由于周围山地多，空旷，加上西
风从海上吹来，还是处于相当容易火灾的区域。这一点要重视。
× 地震：SD最大的地震带好像是ros |

the other side of the slope, far away from current Manzanita Trail lot.
If you get a chance to look from the Model home toward north, you may see
some small spots( actually they are some luxuary homes, multi-million dollor
home). That is the location of future LDR.

这个trail单程可以分四段，以first water, orchard camp和manzanita ridge作为分
界。
前1/2从sierra madre trailhead到orchard camp是mount wilson trail race的路线，
一直maintain得不错，应该挺适合trail running的。
后1/4大部分在mount wilson toll road上，是宽到可以走两辆车的泥土地，
也很适合 trail running。
从orchard camp到manzanita ridge这一段相比之下是lest maintained的，
在有些地方，植物的藤和枝叶长到trail上了，我都是用大腿撞过去的，
还有几个点，比较窄，需要放慢速度小心通过。不过总的来说，问题不大。
btw, 这条trail似乎还算有人气，我从六点跑到十点，大概见到超过40个hikers.

她的尸体22日下午在圣塔芭芭拉Cold Springs大桥附近被发现，死因为自杀。
王安妮是圣地牙哥居民，今年在圣塔芭芭拉加大心理学系读二年级，她是Alpha Phi
Omega姊妹会的成员。室友Charlene Wu最后一次看到她，是她在学生宿舍作功课，当时
是18日凌晨3时。之后15分钟，她给姊妹会的同学发的信息，是她最后一则信息，之后
再无音讯，手机也处于关机状态。她原定在18和19日要参加多场社区活动，但都没有露
面，也没有联系同学表示不会参加。
Cold Springs桥是美国最高的大桥之一，高达400呎，是154号公路的地标，也是有名的
自杀地点。截至2012年的统计数字，有55人在这里自杀，基本上每一年这里都会发生一
起自杀事件；2009年，曾发生八人在此自杀事件。为了防止有人重蹈覆辙，加州交通局
2012年在桥上建立一个九呎左右的栏杆，但栏杆完工后半年，有一名男子还是在这里自
杀。

发帖数: 19471 | 17 这是俺头一次爬山。去的是Mt Wilson，走了那条7迈单程、14迈往返的偏陡的trail，就
在210公路下来后沿Balwin往北，Sierra Madre那小条路的北面。上午9:30从trai head
出发，在First Water (1.5M), Orchard Camp (3.5M) 各休息了10分钟，冲峰前在那个
有木头凳子Manzanita Ridge啃了个sandwich，休息了一会儿，把一些不需要的瓶装水等
藏在了凳子下面。然后就哼哧哼哧爬最后两迈，于下午2:30顺利登顶。顶上有个cafe，
卖的热巧克力挺好喝的，价格公道。打工的白MM很热情，还让我进去用电话。
记忆比较深刻的地方：
- 半山腰金黄色的枫叶很美
- 接近山顶时，一片乌云刚好经过，没有落雨，却带来云雾缭绕的景观，感觉较有RP
- 这个季节橡子真多，积在trail上，造成下山时候非常容易脚下打滑摔跟头
- 有韩国老太太把养的chihuahua带去，it居然还被涂了红趾甲，感叹人的taste能如此
迥异
- 下山太痛苦了，双腿已经不听使唤，尤其最后两迈时候天已经黑了，深一脚浅一脚的
，很危险

发帖数: 2672 | 18 上周六跟Meetup走了Mt Wilson Lollipop， 我们叫它Lollipop因为走完你就会发现这路
线就像小孩子吃的棒棒糖的形状.
从Sierra Madre的Mt Wilson Trailhead出发走到Manzanita Ridge 接 Winter Creek
Trail下到Hoegee's Camp ， 走 Lower Winter Creek上Mt Zion， 然后下到
Stutevant Trail再上Mt Wilson. 大概20mi， 7000ft爬升.
本来20几个人是7集合，结果晚到一个小时结果我自己一个人走完， 还是挺享受这条路
线， 推荐给大家.
我走了一段San Anita Ridge， 可以说是“shortcut” 然后接到 Winter Creek Trail
Steep, just the way you like it!

torrey hill的新房子carrige run, 才2100尺，就在高压线低下，还要80万呢。离高压
线比较远的那边，还有一套，2400尺，3600尺的lot，要价80万，不知道现在卖出去了
没有。 Manzanita Trail 最小户型都有2300尺，还是三个车位的车库。
