道都一样的东东，您一定知道了，这就是无籽西瓜嘛。自然的，他们也把

以前早就有的东西，本来就是从异性间的CU借过来的。假如真的象很多反对同性婚姻的
人建议的，把CU的权利和义务提高到和marriage一样不就完了吗？可是他们没问问异性

married filing jointly vs. married filing separately.
To the OP question, for two individuals who have similar income, the
marriage penalty is real; if these two have quite different income level,

's about "Marriage", i.e. Single vs. Married Filing Jointly.
Married Filing Separately is still "Married". When you are married you must
choose Married (whether jointly or separately). When you are single you must
choose Single.
Married Filing Separately is worse than Married Filing Jointly and Single no
matter what the income levels of the two people are. Nobody is discussing
Married Filing Separately here.

承受marriage带来的义务和风险，才能享受权利的。
因为gay marriage以前不合法，所以这个domestic partner benefit实际上是任意两个
人，只要说自己是domestic partner，就可以享受了。今天A和B恋，就可以让B享受
benefit。明天换一个男朋友C，就可以让C享受。如果是一对异性恋人，可没有这么方
便。
如果gay marriage合法了，这可就实在讲不通了。肯定会有异性恋的partners告的，说
自己没有享受equal protection。要么废除domestic partner benefit，要么extend
to异性恋partners。
