量子计算机也分很多个实现的系统，你是学校有很强的组么？用光子，离子，和
superconducting qubit的系统目前比较先进，但是离应用还有十万八千里。微软、IBM
好像都有搞？基本是面子工程，除了发论文没啥进步，连论文都不如他们还在大学里头
的时候发的好。UCSB的Martini整个组一二十人去GoogleX已经一年多了吧，你可以观望
一下，接下来这一年要是GoogleX没把他们裁了，说明他们也许有些新东西。
生物物理不熟悉，不过根据常识，生物竞争太激烈，一两片CNS都不一定能找到教职，
没有奇遇，估计生物物理只是一条更窄的路。 |

this industry don't know the answer. on the contrary to what u might
think, there's absolutely no standard qualification requirements for
traders: there are traders with high school diploma, there are traders
with IVY phd, there are traders who used to be programmers, dentists,
lawyers...
many ppl consider themselves smart enough to obtain a Ph.D. from a world

今天下班后我去参加同事的fare well party。公司最近大裁员，不可预见的是三分
之一的同事今天之后将来是否再见，可以预见的是明天生活还是那样平平淡淡地流逝着
，为生计奔波的大家依旧每天在晨曦中匆匆出门，钻进钻出地铁两次，第二次钻出的时
候已经是夜色深邃，霓虹闪烁。一天就会这样过去，很难说有什么意义，但似乎也不能
武断的说它没有意义。
公司里最照顾我的老大哥也要走了，送他一直送到了PATH的入口，目送他的背影消
失在火车检票口， 我独自一人漫步在公司楼下。911纪念碑前的游人一如既往的熙熙攘
攘，华尔街下班的交易员或悲或喜的夹在其中，或是和老大哥一样去赶回家的火车，或
是走在买醉的路上。我不禁有意观察神色木然的各色人群，猜测着那一张张木然的脸孔
后面是否可能还隐藏着一点缤纷灿烂的梦，也猜测着他们将为各自那一点可怜的梦想经

个也没去，象Riu那种all inclusive的是可以带小孩的，有的还有day care,这种all
inclusive包伙食的得好好看看他们网上dining的菜单再订，否则几天都呆在resort里
面吃同样难吃的东西就惨透了。上次我订的那个excellence playes majures吃的就很
好，lobster house, french, mediterranean,Asian,还有martini bar, coffee house
,早点有无数样鲜奶蛋糕，custard和水果,还有烤小羊排。白天就躺沙滩上晒太阳，上
点西班牙语课，和ld打打桌球，晚上有魔术表演和歌手来唱歌。觉得每天都醉生梦死的
。all inclusive expedia上有很多package.
如果不住all inclusive的呢，那个isla playes majures据说蛮好玩的，还有一个什么
地方可以和海豚一起游泳，还有一个什么cozumel有印第安人遗迹。但是据我们公司cto

新奥尔良是美国不多的老法国殖民地，很多街名都是法语的，什么Rue des Bourbon之
类，餐馆也受法餐影响。
有南方old money文化遗风，种植园，房子连房子的富豪区，当然这个GA，SC很多地方
都有，比如charleston
酒吧、cocktail文化极为繁盛，上面写的Bourbon Street（Bourbon就是法国波旁王朝
，也是酒名）霓虹灯彻夜通明，家家都有现场演出，还有大量gentlemen's club，脱衣
舞女就在门口招揽顾客，跟人合影。（虽然身材无敌衣物火爆，但看起来都很衰老。）
鸡尾酒hurricane就起源与此。而且NO法律不禁止在街上拿酒，满街人都手持grenade
cocktail。每家饭馆都有cocktail special，什么25分钱的martini之类，我一般不怎
么喝酒，但是在NO几天基本都是晕乎乎的。。。
爵士乐发源地，Louis Armstrong老家。很多餐馆都有爵士演出，还一桌一桌过来问好

那就都来讲讲自己喝醉以后闹出来的笑话吧~我来开头:)
其他的不说,只说有一次在这边,据说我是指说英文不说中文,其实吧,我当时也不是意识模
糊到什么都记不起来了,就是说英文,你说平时吧,打死我也挤不出个单词来...嘿嘿,把周
围的人全都快逼疯了,人家说什么我都答英文,还不许人家说中文~都来大家都说要是我平
时能像喝酒时候说得那么流利就好了...
不过呢,这个是唯一一次说英文,以后好像是因为酒的原因...是不是喝得太杂了不适于说
英文呢?要不就是越喝越没品,都是什么Tequila shot,至多也就是dry Martini,搞不出英
文的情调?呵呵 |

本分不出来。vodka无未，所以基本上没味道的我都归结为它调出来的。
这个vodka上次把我害苦了，差点而小命没了。当时在一个台湾mm那儿喝她姐姐自己调
的，她们先拿出来爱玉，后来是饮料。两样东西看起来很象，就是一个里面有gel壮的
果冻，一个没有，我就当饮料喝了，那种最大的一次性饮料杯，４杯＋１听啤酒之后，
人跟我说是鸡尾酒。晕到，，然后开车１个多小时之后，发现很不对劲，总是换完
lanes后才发现，路边小睡一觉，好点，不过马上又不行了，辛亏马上到家了，然后一
觉睡到晚上６点多。她姐姐说那个果治一样的酒里就放了２瓶vodka。可连我没喝出来
，哎。 |
