【侨报纽约网报道】大都会博物馆实行强制票价了！没关系，这里还有一份纽约最
全的博物馆(公园)免费参观指南。
据纽约时报报道，纽约大都会博物馆3月1日起实施强制门票规定，无法提供居住在
纽约州证明的游客将固定收取25美元门票费用。12岁以下儿童仍可免费参观；纽约州、
新泽西州和康州的学生持证件也仍按建议票价的方式购票，即可以按自己意愿随意支付
。三州以外的学生票价被定为12美元，老人票则为17美元。
此前，大都会博物馆自1870年开放以来，一直采取建议票价的方式，允许游客按意
愿随意支付，就是说你就算只花1美元也可以参观。
和华盛顿不同，纽约很多优秀的博物馆都不是免费开放的，虽然很多博物馆采取建
议票价的方式允许游客随意支付，但如果能大大方方的免费参观，总比心里七上八下怕
给多了吃亏给少了又没面子的好不是？
幸好，我们还有一份从NYCgo整理到的博物馆(公园)免费参观指南，只要选择正确
的时间去对的博物馆就好。需要注意的是，以下免费入场的许可只是普通门票，特殊展

美国的公共图书馆是从18世纪开始出现的，虽然历史短于类似英国这样的老牌发达国
家，但是无论从规模、资金、藏书量、普及水平都在世界上首屈一指，全国基本做到每
个社区都有自己的社区图书馆。这个公共图书馆制度对普及科学文化知识、提高人民文
化素质、激发少年儿童的阅读兴趣起到重大的促进作用。至于威廉.西迪斯（William
James Sidis）在他的著作中认为公共图书馆是“美国人的创造” （an American
invention“，见The Tribes and the States ）。我看，他所说的“创造”应该指的
是制度化、普及水平，因为公共图书馆早在古希腊时期已经出现了。
直到1960年代，中国大陆的“公共图书馆”基本上是个形式而已。我上中学的时候
，学校里倒是有个图书馆，但是空间很小，光线黯淡，藏书也非常有限。虽然每座城市
、每个省都有公共图书馆，但是借阅困难，手续复杂，直到我在武汉大学攻读研究生的
时候，到省图书馆借阅书籍仍然非常困难，谈不上“公共性”... 阅读全帖 |

久违的太阳露脸了，天老爷爷也来捧场了！这些日子大雪铺天盖地的没完没了的下，人
们的心里是闷闷的不畅快，看见了太阳长长的舒了一大口气。
在乡下住时间长了，进城实在是不习惯，人多车多事多，图书馆坐落在“高楼大厦”之
中，当然高楼大厦是和我住的郊区比较而言，您要和纽约比就就是小巫和大巫的问题了。
门口有两大人物雕像，一个是牛顿，专门爱看草地上掉没掉苹果；还有一个是阳光漂亮
少女，看了半天没看懂是嘛名字，肯定不是lady gaga.
图书馆的建筑古色古香，建筑师的大名永垂青史，他们是：McKim, Mead and White.
建楼的第一块基石安放时间是1888年，完工时间是1895年。（盖了7年啊？） |
