不知道某些人是不是真是做数论的,如果真是的话,有这番言论就不应该了。公平地说，
自从改革开放以后，国内媒体对陈景润和哥德巴赫猜想的宣传确实是过头的，包括对华
罗庚的宣传也有过头之嫌。但那时是时势所迫，中国百废待兴，需要一些偶像来鼓舞士
气。这个暂且不论。
至于哥德巴赫猜想的地位，这么说吧，它绝对不是数论里面的核心问题，更不是什么皇
冠上的明珠。但是，由于它已经被提出有两百多年了，难度摆在那里，就像Fermat's
Last Theorem,象征意义多于它的实际意义。但是倘若有机会攻克这样的问题而不取，
那肯定脑子有问题吧。
你可能说Andrew Wiles 是证明了Taniyama-Shimura, 这个比FLT有意思多了。可是歌德
巴赫，又何尝不是如此呢。想想上世纪60，70年代的时候，正是筛法理论发展的黄金时

们的真的很难一时消化。如果说以前西方世界的虚伪和霸权只是含蓄的表露，那么这次
的露骨真是令人瞠目结舌。从对叶诗文的无端诽谤到羽毛球女双事件的最后处理，以及
自行车比赛的判罚等等，无需多重复，其间西方媒体的双重标准让很多人惊诧！这里面
的是是非非讨论的已经够多，其中多次提到了“话语权”，我不禁想这“话语权”究竟
是什么？
当大家知道年仅16岁的叶诗文被无耻恶毒的指责时，相信许多生活在海外的人做过一件
事，就是默默的打开电脑，在google中输入“Ye Shiwen Doping”，无非想看看大多
数主流的西方媒体是怎么评论的，或者说心存一丝“侥幸”地渴望看到有良知的媒体出
来为这样一个单纯的小姑娘辟谣。可是，你绝望了。尽管有国际奥委会的人出来澄清事

think that's why TE has been hot recently. Most of the time, LM/Radnor/TE
only show up as silver medalist. I would have selected TE if I didn't care
about commute time as much. So, if you work around KOP area, buy TE by all
means. I don't think there are much difference between all mainline schools. |

自行车比赛的判罚等等，无需多重复，其间西方媒体的双重标准让很多人惊诧！这里面
的是是非非讨论的已经够多，其中多次提到了“话语权”，我不禁想这“话语权”究竟
是什么？
当大家知道年仅16岁的叶诗文被无耻恶毒的指责时，相信许多生活在海外的人做过一件
事，就是默默的打开电脑，在google中输入“Ye Shiwen Doping”，无非想看看大多
数主流的西方媒体是怎么评论的，或者说心存一丝“侥幸”地渴望看到有良知的媒体出
来为这样一个单纯的小姑娘辟谣。可是，你绝望了。尽管有国际奥委会的人出来澄清事
实，大多数媒体还都是引用John Leonard的充满偏见的所谓“证据”，即使提及奥委会
药检的结果，也是不忘接连说药检并不能证实她的清白。无法不让我们中国人抓心挠肝

欧盟5亿人，美国3亿，俄国1.5亿，加起来9.5亿。这9.5亿人出了多少个陶这样的数学
家？这要取决于你把陶算作哪个级别的。如果你承认Fields medalist（前面typo,写成
了fields awardee）, 还有wolf数学奖获得者都和陶一个级别，那么在世的俄美欧数学
家共有好几十位跟他一个级别。
如果你觉得陶比一般的fields medalist高，那么我就随便举几位肯定比得上他的（不
完全举例，肯定忽略了很多牛人）：
(1) 证明了poincare猜想的Perelman，肯定没问题吧？陶本人对他也极端佩服，自承不
如。
(2) 证明了费马大定理的Wiles，肯定没问题吧？不过据说他是勤奋更胜天才的类型。
(3) Charles Fefferman，22岁在U Chicago拿正教授，29岁fields medal，都比陶更早。
其实，比陶拿教授早或者拿fields奖早的都还能数出一些来.你觉得这样比有意思吗？
我前面说过了：job market上能到学校随便挑程度的人，每年整个大学科（比如数学）

Jean-P. serre不论是神童的程度还是数学成绩，比一般的Fields 奖获得者高的多了。
serra和格洛腾迪科地位差不多。而且是最年轻的菲尔兹奖获得者。
其实Fefferman,Serra,Tao,这都是欧美神童。
Tao中国话都不太会讲吧? 硬要和中国拉上关系一点意思也没有的.
日本也有神童,东京大学一个教授,Sato有次访谈说过.

自从改革开放以后，国内媒体对陈景润和哥德巴赫猜想的宣传确实是过头的，包括对华
罗庚的宣传也有过头之嫌。但那时是时势所迫，中国百废待兴，需要一些偶像来鼓舞士
气。这个暂且不论。
至于哥德巴赫猜想的地位，这么说吧，它绝对不是数论里面的核心问题，更不是什么皇
冠上的
明珠。但是，由于它已经被提出有两百多年了，难度摆在那里，就像Fermat's Last
Theorem,
象征意义多于它的实际意义。但是倘若有机会攻克这样的问题而不取，那肯定脑子有问
题吧。
你可能说Andrew Wiles 是证明了Taniyama-Shimura, 这个比FLT有意思多了。可是歌德
巴赫，又何尝不是如此呢。想想上世纪60，70年代的时候，正是筛法理论发展的黄金时
期，Atle Selberg,
Enrico Bombieri, Klaus Roth(都是Fields medalist)先后都在小筛法，大筛法方面做
出杰出
贡献，你不能否认说这个领域在当时不是主流吧。相反，这个领域当时正是热火朝天的
