The resolution test of the Pentax 2/35 was based on the strength of RAW
files from a Pentax K20D. It’s worth noticing here than the 14-megapixel
sensor of that camera works similarly as 10-megapixel CCD sensors from such
bodies as the Pentax K10D, the Nikon D200 or the Sony A100 and it allows us
to compare intersystem results. You just have to remember that the results
from an 8-megapixel Canon 20D sensor must be increased by less than 10%. |

ISO 100: The top image is a 100% crop from the Panasonic FZ35, a 12-
megapixel camera. The bottom image is from the Panasonic FZ100, a 14-
megapixel camera. This validates the bad results we got at the zoo. Despite
all the interesting technology in the FZ100's sensor, it can't compete with
the 12-megapixel sensors of 2009, even from Panasonic itself.
