tenure system. Once you prove yourself by
getting the tenure, you get a much better package than the industry folks.
This in general should mean that you need
to put in more effort and maybe take more risk to get it. This in turn means
a junior faculty should get less favorable

2. If the rights to strike and demonstrate were merely symbolic ones, why
