:开了几十迈，算light off-road吧，悬挂的表现相当不错，非常出乎意料。本来想买
:SEL或SEL Premium的，发现VW的天窗全是用mesh的suncreen，这个不能接受，只好买
了不带天窗的，算是一个缺点吧。

另一个问题是安全性，网上有人说这种mesh，如果车翻滚，天窗破碎后人的头部或手部
没有阻挡，可能会与地面接触。我自己家的X3有全景天窗，用的sunshade看上去挺坚韧
，把人挡一下应该没问题。全景天窗大多数时候都是关着的。

自己想做一个computation 的东西，主要是 hexahedral mesh 有限元在GPU上算东西，
应用的范围主要是在clinical 中的运用，属于biomechanics， biomedical imaging
的范畴。主要的作用是使目前冗长的计算变得更加适用。虽然GPU 已经不是什么很热的
东西，但其加上 subject-specific hexahedral mesh，以及clinical 的应用还是应该
有用的。
问题是自己觉得要propose 的东西估计它的scope 和significance 不足以在NIH 申请
经费。所以我的问题是：有哪些其它地方可以投放呢？有没有什么 foundation？或者
其它地方？

1. format存成file或者db table,存的内容基本就是user id(unique)的friend关系，
比如file每行 1 2就表示user1和user2是friend
2.file存在io问题，interface上得自己重新建立datastructure来提供常见的function
,同时这也是优势，更灵活，有完全控制权；可以像读triangle mesh一样读进来，然后
建立mesh；db通常有先有工具，只需考虑table schema的设计，有index等手段优化
search等功能；db易于数据同步，备份，建立db cluster, load balance等常见手段
3. 两个数组按照user id升序排列，找相同id,O(m+n)遍历，可以找完
4. tableName:Connection, 两个column friendStart, friendEnd,都用来存放userId,
两个column都是index

adhesive aluminum mesh patch, 然后上joint compound (2)比较麻烦，用plaster
board补一块上去，事先要在里面固定一根木条。
我偏向于（1），但是就是因为是popcorn ceiling, 表面不光滑，不知道aluminm mesh
patch 沾的住么？这个洞大小是 6in x 6 in 不到点。

stainless steel的mesh,非常非常细的mesh,而且很柔软，大概7块钱左右，一大圈。然
后剪一块把地漏抱起来，然后再上螺丝上去。非常好用。
以前我1年内被堵了两次，shower的地漏太大，根本档不了头发，现在非常非常好。

不是要heavy load, 停重型卡车什么的。我看到的铁丝网+fiber mesh的组合是承重更
好的。一
般driveway base比较好的，unreinforced 5" concrete slab都行。至于fiber mesh V
.S. 铁丝网，我不知道。至于rebar 肯定成本更高,有的地方code规定driveway入口是
不能用rebar的，估计这个跟水泥的厚度都有关系，4“的slab里面放rebar更容易crack
吧。我查到的是：Fibermesh can be used in residential, commercial or
industrial applications as the primary form of reinforcement without a rebar
skeleton. |

发帖数: 1032 | 20 水泥。水泥一般要cure 28天，pour 完后一周可以开车上去。一般contractor都会安好
以后就喷sealer, 往后每隔一两年seal一次，不seal也没事。沥青一般要cure 更长时
间，seal一般是一年以后。夏天高温的时候沥青有可能会变软，如果出现裂缝或者坑洼
的话，自己可以买cold asphalt patch. 水泥都可能有crack. 要对比不同的
contractor,有的用fiber mesh, 有的用wire mesh. 一般4 inch 厚，最关键的还是
base, 多铺点gravel,压实以后再pour concrete. 你要想fancy的话，可以弄stamped
concrete.
除了水泥和沥青，还可以考虑Tar and Chip Driveway, 很漂亮也实用，造价不高。 |

觉像踩棉花。05年开始症状加重，行走不稳。06年初走路“打软腿”并跌倒。我们都缺
乏了解，根本不知道我爸是颈椎病，都以为是年纪大缺微量元素（例如钙等），腿没劲
，结果耽误了治疗时间。
06年7月来北京，当时我爸走路基本迈不开步，走路颤颤巍巍，必须有人扶，无法
上下楼。去医院做核磁共振时发现c3/4、c4/5、c5/6、c6/7颈椎椎间盘突出，尤其c4/5
、c5/6最严重，导致相应节段脊髓受压。医生诊断为脊髓型颈椎病。8月18日，给我爸
开刀做了手术，将c4/5、c5/6椎间盘切除，c5椎体正中的椎体次全切除。在c5椎体正中
置入Mesh-cage，最后用钢板固定Mesh-cage（这个东西是钛笼）。
这个手术本身应该是没出现问题，但手术后的恢复缺不理想。我爸的腿并没有明显改善
，虽然能独立散散步，但依然腿软，没劲，迈不开步，也不能独立上下楼。找了当时协
和的开刀大夫，他说脊髓属于神经，虽然手术解除了对脊髓的压迫，但脊髓已经受损，
要恢复比较难，也需要时间。。

The laser has a mechanism to cut only those fibers in your hair and only cut
hairs trapped into a confined space defined by the flexible mesh. As long
as your skin or body parts are not squeezed into the confined space through
the open mesh, you are 100% safe. It is even safer than a razer.

十年前我刚来到美国工作，也是从那时起开始上MITBBS。十年BBS, 三年History版主, 同一个不变的ID。
十年前天天上站看far, napolen, mesh, fool等人的大作，fyp, space, Whisper里等

一般防水甚至防泼水的boots就可以（有mesh的不行）
如果要软雪中登顶，要开路的，goretex （一样，那种goretex的trail running
mesh，的不行）是必须的 |
