The 'orange monster' isn't a real monster -- it's just a metaphor. In a way,
it's a brilliant way for the artist to express what's needed without using
a single descriptive word. And the color of the face(s) is just a red

This kind of "light fibbing" to children is very common in Korea -- there's

"The birds and the bees" is an English-language idiomatic expression that
refers to courtship and sexual intercourse, and is usually used in reference
to teaching someone, often a young child, about sex and pregnancy. The
phrase is evocative of the metaphors and euphemisms often used to avoid
speaking openly and technically about the subject.

To make the philosopher’s stone, Principe says, the mercurialists believed
that “you needed to awaken a seed that’s within gold to cause it to grow—
just like when a farmer takes seeds and puts them in the ground and waters
them, he gets more seeds back in the harvest.” This group of alchemists
therefore used a lot of agricultural metaphors and imagery in their writings

Poetry is full of metaphors, ambivalent interpretation, symbols and

, over there, everything flows in a stream of melodious sound...
There is a good poem by Baudelaire. Share one down.
有时说出了模模糊糊的话音;

俺觉得metaphors, ambivalent interpretation, symbols and
