I have been swimming in a couple of lakes, docks and sea this year. they all
meet bathing water quality. but some are clear and some are not. this bay I
swam at, I can see sands when I approach the shore. but a few metres out I
cannot see a thing under water as it was so deep. I also swam in a reservoir
with very clear water. but it was contaminated with killer shrimps...

我们这天最主要的计划是去看Yosemite Fall。把车先停在了Visitor Center
附近的Day Parking。然后乘Shuttle去Visitor Center，在那里可以拿到 Shuttle Map
。在Yosemite Valley里去各个景点最方便的办法不是自己开车，而是乘坐shuttle。
Shuttle一共有21站，转一圈1个小时。比较大的站都是双向行车，比如Curry Village
。从Visitor Center坐两站到Lower Yosemite Fall Trail。
Yosemite Falls是Yosemite公园的四大名瀑之首，是北美落差最高的瀑布739
metres (2,420 ft)， 一共有三段，Upper Falls，Lower Falls，中间的Middle

很不幸你说的这篇文章我的确看了，幸好它并不长，可惜得出和你完全相反的结论。
eliot反对的不是自由诗本身，只是自由诗这种叫法，他要开宗立派，一定要先正名。
他不满足用三个否定句定义自由诗：
无模式 absence of pattern
无韵脚 absence of rhyme
无节律 absence of metre
他觉得否定句不足定义这种诗体。自由诗不可能真正自由，作为诗歌，它必然存在某种
内在的结构。但是他又发现他没法抓住它的结构，于是有了钱老先生引用的那句话，我
的理解是：
不经意时无法忽略的存在，仔细寻求又消失无踪。。。
这种玄妙的境界难怪会引发钱氏道德经的联想。
整篇文章的中心思想只是自由诗不自由，我不知道你从何得出eliot反自由诗的结论。
eliot还有一句名言：。。。there is good verse，bad verse， and chaos。也是同
一个意思，诗歌无自由。但他反对的也只是自由诗这个名字而不是这种体裁本身。
自由诗vers libre是法语，也是先用法语写作。eliot之后大家更常用现代诗来指代这

metre这种把最后r和e颠倒的（或者美国才是颠倒的），倒是很多（比如centre），个
人感觉er其实合理一些，发“er”的音，如果写成“re”的话，和前面的t一起会引起
“tr”的音，感觉不好。 |
