expansion，需要不断monitor来保证precision。我觉得这个其实没有很多理论，发文
章应该不容易，而且你可能要花非常大量的时间在实验上。除了懂光电以外应该还需要
一点机械方面的知识，因为轻微的vibration也会invalidate你的结果。另外就是这个
领域好像挺窄的，美国做lithography的公司还有么？metrology的市场也比较小。总之
semiconductor capex这个行业实在是food chain的最底层 |

艺作研究。我感觉这个方向比较理论吧，它说要测量光场的相位和角动量，来重构形貌
。。。这样就涉及很多数学，优化方法之类的吧，可能也比较枯燥。我倒希望实验多一
点，能做些机械的工作。。。。不知道这种项目作完，能去asm找工作不。。
当然很窄的方向，但不知道光电/光学出来的人能做些什么？

后又宣布是机器test，让川粉白兴奋一场。
有没有人真正想过这种test纠结是怎么一会事？
原理上，这种选票机就是一台metrology tool. 从工业metrology tool的标准测试流程
是测试repeability和reproducibility，也就是每台机器的反复测试和不同机器的对同
样sample的测试。
既然这样，用什么sample测试多台选票机呢？人工做大量的票太花时间，最好的办法就
是用已经寄来选票最合适，然后用这些选票在每台机器上重复。这些选票不一定是全部
邮寄的选票，但sample已经很大了。由于是多台机器的反复测试结果，全部票数很可能
超过pre-vote的人数，但统计的百分比却是真确的。
一句话，让洗粉伤心的话，trump很可能拿下WI。 |

发帖数: 468 | 14 MEMS说到底是EE的东西，ME的招聘广告里近几年基本上没有。纳米的近几年机械系也基
本上饱和了。
生物的东西没有经验，就算research statement说要做也没人会信。
能想到的就是搭上advanced manufacturing
PhD和现在做的最多的就是MEMS, micro-mechanical resonators, GHz MEMS motion
metrology using laser, pump-and-probe。基本上就是高频振动的MEMS/NEMS，
nanofabrication和用激光来测量这类器件。
最近搜了些和这些都相关但是又搭上advanced manufacturing这个热点的东西，比如
motion/position precision metrology, manipulation and process control for
advanced manufacturing。搜出一些东西，但还是一头雾水。诚心请教未来的研究方向
该怎么把握？ |

其中935人考取研究生，占91%。”相比你这个不到100人的名单（包括中间有些人的公
司或头衔很有疑问），比例和国内top5那些年的研究生班的毕业生比如何？我没有大样
本，如果用我自己研究生班的同学做样本，我看也有至少10%混到这个水平。

metrology intern，通过了两轮面试后就一直没消息，今天联系HR后得到这样的回复：
I apologize for the delay and miscommunication. Intel has to go through a
very lengthy process to hire Chinese nationals. This process for full time
hires can take very long. A recent college graduate hired two years ago took
six months to clear the approvals.
That being the case we will not be able to extend an internship offer at
this time.

semi/LED metrology 的market growth, 2) 公司本身的market share gains, 2010年
NANO的37%的rev 都是依靠大客户Hynix, INTC, and Samsung的rev grow,日本的市场表
现也给NANO增加了10%的rev. 2011 年可能会给东芝提供服务.
所有产品都有销售增长，特别是flagship Atlas OCD tool up 30% q to q.
竞争也大，什么特别的我不知道，也不是semi专家，但是客户群看起来secure的不错，
只是metrology market 的cycle 的影响会逐渐在Q4显现出来。
