如果是有损压缩，我觉得Djvu那种压缩格式很牛的。
无损，xz > bz2 > gz
xz是在7z的格式基础上发展起来的。你看，现在linux kernel、texlive、miktex、
Cygwin基本上都在进行往xz格式的过度。 |

发帖数: 9499 | 2 我一向用 miktex 或者 texlive 啊。问题是老板那边非要用 acrobat reader 做
comment，别的 pdf readers 一概拒绝。
到时候还要请教你 gs 参数哈。我现在用 pdf2ps 或者 convert 从 pdf 转的 eps，经
常一个图就有上百兆，肯定有啥地方不对。按说用 illustrator 也就是几分钟的事。
。。
而且，同样的 eps 图，在 linux 下用 gv 看就很好，但是在 windows 下就缺边少角
的。ft 得很。 |

works for me ;( it always says it's an "Undefined control sequence", really
weird. and it happens no matter what template i use, either just article, or
another one provided by the publiser llncs.

下的Latex2e.zip 写论文
class file 是 llncs.cls.其中明明定义了页面的宽和高分别是12。2cm和19。2cm.
但我的编译后打印出来的结果却是11.7cm和18.4cm，不知道为什么，请大家帮我看看。多

adobe distiller把ps转成pdf文件边距都有问题，上面的很小，下面的很大，大家知道

现在ｃｉｔｅ单作者文章的时候最后几行提示有错如下

编辑器用 WinEdt 或者 WinShell 就好了。 |

"The PDF file cannot be accepted: Publishers require that PDF fonts

还有什么photoshop，acrobat，现在都不是一般的耗空间。我是觉得64G以下的SSD买起

优势，主要是lisp语言的支持，能做很多的智能选择，定义快捷键等，这里就不多说了
linux的主要问题是驱动和一些乱七八糟的问题，还有不能用office系列。如果能安装
emacs在windows上，可以说是一个完美的解决计划。
用下面的方法来安装，就能实现，不建议任何从源码编译的安装方法，太麻烦了。
第一步，安装miktex系统，这个就是latex所需要的所有软件包，很简单，只要等就可
以了，不过，建议你安装完整版本。
第二步，下载emacs系统的binary for windows，地址是
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/emacs/windows/
最好安装最新版本：emacs-24.3-bin-i386.zip 是最新版本。解压到c:\program files
\下面，创建一个文件夹emacs-24.3
然后到产生的bin文件夹下运行addpm.exe会在启动文件夹下面安装icon等

嗯，你买的软件（你买么？）不一定是正版的。我买的肯定是 :)
我用的 MikTex 里面配套的 divviewer 里面可以直接打印。人家设计就是这样
的。你可以说这个设计不咋地，但是你不能说人家这个功能是放在那里摆样子的。
我开始拿 PageMaker 比主要就是说明 word 的内部实施不咋地。PageMaker 的排版
处理比 Word 复杂的多了，N 多高 resolution 的图片都没事。当然 PageMaker 比
Word 的价钱贵是另外一回事。 |

link to it, so yap invokes either a built-in or an external
PS interpreter to disply the actual EPS file. The problem is
likely occurring when you run dvipdf or dvips-ps2pdf, but I
have never seen anything like this happen with teTeX on
Linux. I don't think it has anything to do with winedt.

I finally solved the problem using the method described in one previous post
in the board. I installed a driver of color printer driver, and tried to print
selected part to ps in visio, and then converted it to eps.
When I used a HP black-color printer, there is problem.
I think the problem happens when the printer driver generates the ps file.
