发帖数: 4844 | 8 草地杀虫很重要，虫害是一年一年不同，而且会恶化加剧。去年俺痴迷于杀杂草，疏忽
了杀虫，结果相当大面积的草地遭到虫害，今年要比较大面积overseeding。
就说杀grubs, 快速无机方法就是撒scotts的grubex (bug b gone也杀成虫，但不杀地
里的幼虫），每年都要撒。另外一种是有机无害的方法，撒milky spore,白色粉末状，
按照说明每间隔4 feet撒一小勺（最好进土里）。如果奏效的话，可以保持10年有效。
俺用的是milky spore，就多说了两句。这个方法很tricky, 原因是因为相对而言milky
spore一次性成本很贵，所以建议每4尺撒一勺，但是这间隔确实是不小的，没有吃到
药的grubs一样祸害草地，直到吃到药死亡并加速产生更多的milky spore。所以在头几
年里，运气不好的话，会有小片的死草，需要补药。如果草是KBG的话会自行修复，一
年内几乎可以长回来，tall fescue就不行了，必须overseeding撒草籽。
另外一个现象是，靠路边的草地grubs比较多，如果俺家草地小的话，俺会在路边的草

地巨好。
你的草地是俺的四分之一，所以银子还好了。不过其实这个是管10年的，其它的药得每
年撒，你算一算其实还便宜 。就是一次要拿出那些银子的感觉要难受一些，俺前年就
这感觉。：）
这种药只杀地里的grub幼虫，也是这种幼虫当发作起来的时候对草地的危害最大，会吃
光草根导致草地大片大片的死亡。其它的虫还要买其它的药，如bug b gone，来杀。
milky spore 也不能杀虫卵，必须等孵化成幼虫而且吃到药粉才能让幼虫烂肠子。烂肠
子的grubs会在地里产生出成千上万倍的新的milky spore... ... 就这样如此循环，经
过几年当你地里的grubs都阵亡的时候，你的草地就是grubs的坟墓了。
使用也不是特讲究，选个好天气（不要太热）施下去然后浇水。以后还要定期关注草地
，发现有部分发作的地带再补施一下。最好是铲个小坑埋进土里。 |

我后院一大片草地被grub给吃黄了。没有什么经验，以为是缺水，还撒肥料，结果知道
是grub的时候已经全黄了。现在我order的milky spore还在路上。
像我这种情况，是马上翻土，撒milky spore，同时撒种子呢？还是今年先杀grub，明
年再种新草？我在MA北边。
现在那块草地只有杂草了 :( |

肯定是质量问题.我曾经买过些银枫叶:一筒拿出来看,都不用看正反面,只要看25个币的
侧面,全有"milky spot",那都不是点了,是大面积的白色.比较恶心.
另外这些筒装的都互相摩擦,拿起一筒可以摇一下,有声音的.
澳大利亚和熊猫都分开装的,又有硬壳保护. |

grub是好多种beetle的幼虫，一年生的成虫在春夏期间出土交配，再在土中产卵。两星
期后孵化成幼虫。一般grub每平方英尺超过5个就比较严重，需要控制了。grub在仲夏
和早秋间长大，对植物的破坏也最大，所以最近大家都在问grub的问题。
对grub的非化学控制主要是生物和物理手段：
1。milky spore
milky spore是之前比较流行的生物手段，它的局限性主要是见效慢，而且只能针对
japanese beetle的grub。南方，比如德州的grub很多来自june beetle，因此效果不太
好。
2. Beneficial nematodes
我能找到的可以买到的Beneficial nematodes有三种：sc, sf, Hb。三种生活习性，对
温度耐受程度不同，对grub的效果也略有不同。不过都可以用来控制grub，有效率在50
%以上。最容易买到，也最便宜的是sf。不过效果不是最好，最好的据说是Hb，也是对
温度要求最高的。

发帖数: 4844 | 41 尽量装没有草根的不结块的土。有草根的会给你带来野草，如果太粘可以在撒之前掺一
些沙子，如果家里地里moss多的话（土酸），也可以掺一些石灰。有的人也和一些
compost进去增加肥力。这样和好的土就叫loam。没有施过milky spore防grubs的话，
也可以和一些milky spore混着撒。
撒的时候用小推车推到草地上，在需要撒的地方用平底的铁锨（铝的轻）均匀撒一层，
再用rake刮平（不要盖住草叶子）。
面积小还好，大的话是个辛苦的体力活。 |

Milky现在已经开始在小范围内走动了，特别喜欢用脸蹭我的手。昨天晚上我一到家，
她还假装一副贞洁烈女的样子，朝我翻翻眼皮，不搭理我。结果我回头一看，哈，干粮
都吃了一大半了，猫砂鼓鼓囊囊的，显然是已经被她拉过了。我啐她一口，靠，还装啥
贞烈！我们本来怕她冷，在猫砂盆旁边摆了一块大浴巾，结果不知道怎么被翻起来盖住
一半，我还以为是我LD翻的，心里叨咕一句，用手去摆摆好，呱呱的湿啊！！显然是她
尿过了，然后还盖过来企图掩盖丑事。
她看我翻她的浴巾，一直死盯着我看，面无表情。我LD屁颠颠地给她开了个罐头摆在她
眼前。见了好吃的，她突然间啥烈女形象都不要了，一脑袋扎进罐头里胡吃海塞，任凭
你咋喊她，都甭想再让她抬头了！ |

发帖数: 581 | 49 好久没奔过猫咪们啦。趁着家里现在有5只猫，一次性奔完。后面两只是朋友的猫，每
年都会来一次，所以对家里已经很熟悉了。5猫1狗，每次一摇treats的袋子，情景真是
壮观哈哈。
猫1：Milky
Milky已经快3岁了，仍然在以极其缓慢的速度长大，应该因为他是Turkish van mix的
原因。他的爪子现在已经巨大了，比家里其他几只短毛猫都宽至少50%。春天来了，他
又可以每天出去后院玩了，最近可以明显看出来他心情很好！
猫2：黑黑
不算客猫的话是家里年龄最大的猫，也是体型最大的猫，2年前来家里的时候胆小如鼠
，是床底常客，现在家里有客人也会主动跟客人套近乎了。最大的乐趣就是在床上舔毛
，声音巨大，除此之外就是打盹。长得胖都是有原因的，不管是猫还是人都一样啦。
猫3：Fluffy
其实更常用的名字是小灰，通过这个版收养的，再次感谢有爱的派瓷版和送猫上门的帅
哥美女们~小灰虽然面相略凶，但是却是很sweet的猫咪哈。他是家里3猫里体型最小的
，但是体重却不轻，很壮实。最近每天都在和客猫瓜瓜玩的不亦乐乎，没有客猫的时候

Milky，每天都要自己在后院玩。不让出去就嚷嚷，摇铃铛。On leash walk看他心情，
有时候走的很好，有时候不想走就只愿意卧在草地上。但是他从来不会stress，我们会
开车带他和狗一起出去玩，他可以在state park的trail上走得特别开心。
小灰，每天也都要自己在后院玩。不让出去就跟着Milky一起嚷嚷。但是外面有个大的
动静他就会跑回家。没带他出去过，觉得他胆子还是不算大。
黑咪，开着门让他出去他都不出去。
所以我觉得不必强求什么，即使是喜欢outdoor的猫咪，也可能有他们自己的一个度。
我个人觉得，On leash walk是可以train的，但是性格在猫长大之后就很难train了。
我们用的是harness，不容易挣脱相对安全。你可以先带他们出去试试他们的胆子，然
后再做决定带他们走多远:) |
