上一章写过了本世纪初洋基红袜响尾蛇交相辉映的那个时代，现在终于开始轮到写我最
熟悉的这批当代牛投们了。。。SI曾评选过一个MLB在00-09年间的all-decade team，
结果深与我心有戚戚焉--五位rotation投手就是我上一章写过的那三位大牛Pedro，
Johnson，Schilling，再加上新生代的两位翘楚Halladay & Santana。的确，如果要写
这个世纪以来最好的投手们，我心里大概有一个六七个人的名单，其中Doc本来就是排
在第一位的，他是我心目中这个时代的顶尖投手的代表，是ace of the aces，而现在
他的去世更坚定了我要用专门的一章来dedicate给他的想法，就像其他爱他的人用
youtube上的tribute videos来纪念他一样，希望能够向这位在我熟悉棒球的年代最稳
定最有统治力最优秀的投手致以一份深深的景仰和敬意(当然，还有无尽的惋惜与伤痛)。

理一下思绪。
大概在美国学习社会科学或者是对美国国内新闻比较关注的同学都会发现，民族多样性
（diversity）这个话题简直铺天盖地到处都是。虽然中国也是一个多民族的国家，但
是diversity方面的话题在美国地位，无疑要比在中国突出的多。这当然有多方面的原
因。首先，在美国不同民族长得就很不一样，一眼就能看出来，而在中国，你换身袍子
我多半就把你当成藏族人了。第二，美国的社会对少数民族都存在各自的一些原型或者
典型的形象（stereotypes）——印度人就是敲键盘接电话的，印第安人就是开赌场的
，墨西哥人就是打杂的，黑人就是抢钱的；你没事儿在图书馆里上网上的正开心呢，一
个白人小哥满头大汗的向你跑来，“Hi buddy! You gotta help me! I know you can
do the math!”。。。正是因为这些stereotypes的广泛存在，讨论、批判甚至于消灭
他们也才有了价值与市场。当然你还能够找到更多政治、社会或是历史的原因，甚至追

很多.但是在谈到minority权益的时候,是不包括亚裔的.因此极左如果得逞了,可以预料
将来亚裔在硅谷求职的门槛也会大大高于其他族裔.
极左势力非常恶心的一点是,讲minority权益的时候不但不包括亚裔的权益,甚至还会牺
牲亚裔权益已确保其他minority和白人的权益.但是讲minority贡献的时候,总是偷偷的
把亚裔在学术界的贡献包括进去,但是往往不会明说这个minority是亚裔,让你感觉都是
黑人,西裔非法移民为科技作贡献.
就是用你的贡献做抗争的砝码,但是瓜分收益的时候弃你如敝屣. |

Parenting 版最大的问题，是在绝大多数情况下，target audience 里面的
持一般意义上的 minority opinion 的 voice，比 majority opinion 的
voice 大上许多倍，占据了版面上远远超过 50% 的信息渠道资源，导致版面
literally dysfunction。
换言之，争议不是问题。合理争议有助于版面流量，老邢笑逐颜开，众 id

虽然在戒网中，但是换届的事情越闹越大，作为史版经常去历史版的 ID，也来说两句。
首先，大波是一个负责的好版主，这点有目共睹。我不反对 QED 来竞选，但是 QED 的
承诺按照我以往在历史版的经验，很难办到，我作版主的时候，也试图不封人，除了PA
不删贴，讨论四九年以后历史的帖子转 CN 等等，但是到后来根本不行，杀不杀满遗的
帖子普天盖地，国粉共轮的叫骂沸反盈天，最后我辞职，栀子花接手，封了一大批人才
遏制住，紧接着栀子花被一捆人投诉；QED的承诺很好，但是如何保证这样的承诺能够被
执行（纯技术性的讨论一下：如果有人骂“满狗”你是封还是不封？如果有人骂“共轮

Asians faces more restrictions because schools need spaces to give to White
students after taking in their quota of other minorities. If School no
