约之父——17世纪，一批约克(York)人移民到美国建了一个地方，取名纽约(New York)
。然而如今他们是那么的不同，让人很难找到一点联系。
英国人对古迹保护得仔细严格，约克作为北英格兰的首府的时间有2000多年，古城保存
了很完整的中世纪英国风貌，跟伦敦又是一个不同的韵味。她的街道都很狭窄，只有两
条相对的车道，那里不能建造比约克大教堂更高的建筑，处处都是古香古色，温婉而不
张扬。对于约克的景色，我总觉得用“美”字来形容就有点俗了，她象一幅上世纪的油
画静静的展现在人们面前，跟被摩天大楼充斥的纽约是如此强烈的对比，从没有历史的
美国来到这里，叫人怎能不赞叹这迥异的异国风光。
约克的遗迹基本都在古城墙里。最著名的就是约克大教堂了。那是欧洲最大的中世纪教
堂，伦敦的教堂只叫Westminster,约克这个才是正宗，叫Minster。Minster也是所谓的
歌德式风格，据说从建筑艺术上讲，也是一部精湛的杰作。约克整个城到处小屋小巷，
就只有Minster高大恢弘，那种傲视天下的气势，足以让人震撼。站在她面 |

浮萍撒谎就成了迫害浮萍，中国人的形象又被Joe Nocera抹黑一回。
想回击，有觉得很难说得有理有力， 直到看到Minster这篇，恰好把我想说却说不明白
的地方说透 了。

若你能在湖区呆足1.5天York半天，作为游客路线还是勉强可以的。若连通行时间也算

至少前两个都是vanderbilt家族修建的
the breakers是大宅里面最恢弘奢华的
地面，墙壁，天花板都是大理石，玉石，丝绸，金，白金还有油画；随处都是艺术品
真的很震撼。
听着耳机里断断续续的讲解，让我更加对vanderbilt家族的兴衰感到好奇
这个家族必定鼎盛一时，所以才能够挥金如土，修建这么多summer "cottage"
但追踪没落，使得他们无法持续拥有这些豪宅而选择赠送给preservation society。

去过欧洲。于是算了一下自己的假心想不如秋天走一趟。于是想都没想就随便订了四个
主要的国家城市：伦敦、巴黎、慕尼黑、罗马。然后才开始在旅游网站上寻找和学习。
所以从一开始干脆利落的说走就走毫不在乎的态度还是蛮欣慰的：）然而后面在路线安
排上可真是废透了脑筋，包括行程顺序，时间，机票，酒店，住宿地点，花钱买票还是
用航空公司点数换等诸多问题都有无数种排列组合，直到最后两周才基本搞定。
此次假期一共是20天，最后确定的路线是洛杉矶飞伦敦，伦敦乘欧洲之星到巴黎，
巴黎飞慕尼黑，慕尼黑飞罗马，罗马飞回伦敦，伦敦飞回洛杉矶－好像有点折腾。这里
说两句欧洲的火车－网上很多这方面的内容，根据我的研究我个人认为不要买那种欧洲
的火车通票，除非你是26岁以下的青年，否则都很贵不怎么上算，不论是网站上的还是
什么淘宝之类。火车票名义上是不限次数，但是试想长途的话基本上一天就用一次。而
且像我这几个位置的距离坐火车都要10来个小时，飞机1－2个小时的速度还是太诱惑了
，尤其是对于时间安排很紧的人来说。

其实这不是我第一出电视剧，记得高中时同学仔之间就流行看Friends，因为据闻有很
多黄色笑话。不过我随大流看了几集，其实觉得一点都不好笑，我只会呆呆地坐着看完
，期间嘴角一下都没有抽，只是当完成任务明天回去和同学仔有些话题，强忍无聊坚持
看完而已。我觉得Friends的文化背景要求很高，不是美国长大的人不容易看进去的。
然后就发现这出My so-called life。其实这电视明珠台（TVB的英文台，我以前看过的
英文电视电影基本都是那里看的）很不重视，没有放在晚间时段，而是放在晚饭6点左
右的时段，通常都是放些非常不好看的sit-com，不好看的程度，基本让我情愿转回中
文台看新闻。但这个电视是例外，我看的第一集就很惊艳，是我从来没有看过的类型：
一个非常能激发学生创造性的老师，由于学生写了不雅内容而被学校开除，触发学生为
他抗争，最后，却是一个没有给自己孩子扶养费的人，还试图诱惑女学生（中学生）和

Netherlands was canceled at short notice due to the serious threat of an
attack at the stadium — and local media report police found an explosive-
laden ambulance nearby.

标 题: 欧洲之旅－伦敦：静静的康河

这次旅行比较偶然，五月份的时候在网上浏览时看到欧洲的话题忽然想到自己还没
去过欧洲。于是算了一下自己的假心想不如秋天走一趟。于是想都没想就随便订了四个
主要的国家城市：伦敦、巴黎、慕尼黑、罗马。然后才开始在旅游网站上寻找和学习。
所以从一开始干脆利落的说走就走毫不在乎的态度还是蛮欣慰的：）然而后面在路线安
排上可真是废透了脑筋，包括行程顺序，时间，机票，酒店，住宿地点，花钱买票还是
用航空公司点数换等诸多问题都有无数种排列组合，直到最后两周才基本搞定。
此次假期一共是20天，最后确定的路线是洛杉矶飞伦敦，伦敦乘欧洲之星到巴黎，
巴黎飞慕尼黑，慕尼黑飞罗马，罗马飞回伦敦，伦敦飞回洛杉矶－好像有点折腾。这里
说两句欧洲的火车－网上很多这方面的内容，根据我的研究我个人认为不要买那种欧洲

跑了一圈，先到 bath,书上说
bath原是english夏天避暑的胜地。
当然，来的大多数是王公贵族，幸好
他们带来的不只是王公的愚气，还有贵族的钱。
还有一批有才华的建筑师。于是在这个地方
建起了一批以简节，平面为主的平民建筑。
感觉和英国其他地方的建筑很不一样，
去掉了中世纪的繁琐，有点现代建筑的味道。
恩，当然bath出名不是这里，他还有一个好称
玻璃比砖头多的修道院。
进去之后，沿着巨大十字架的两边是花美的彩玻璃
当然正中对面是一个高达20多米的圣经故事玻璃。
下午的阳光从旁侧照进来，给人一种安静
的气氛，感觉此修道院的气氛其实一般，认为最好的
还是york的minster,最为震撼。
对于修道院，我还记得看西方文化史时，引用
的都德的一句话；‘我走在这黑暗的十字架般
的刑具里，直到最头，阳光投过彩玻璃照在地
上就象是五颜六色 |
