是他跟踪一个NFL的裁判组一个星期里看到的内幕 很多很多猛料
每场比赛以后 NFL会有监察部重审
在每一个play 都对七个裁判一一打分
包括错判和该判的没判 叫"downgrade"
周二上午会把审察结果发过来
裁判到周三可以上诉要求再审(这也得很小心平衡)
周四就是最后评分打入记录本里了
一年17场比赛 每场比赛上百个plays
如果一个裁判最后有5个"downgrade"
他几乎肯定没资格进第一档 就不能去吹季后赛了
落到第三档里的 有被警告开除的可能
这报道里的主人公 做了8年裁判 还没吹过超级碗
NFL的记录是有人吹过四次
NFL裁判工作都是part time
(最显眼的肌肉男胡启立 是带牌的律师)
这个主人公有个自己的小生意 给其他低级别的裁判做些咨询
而且 -- 这个最令人意外了 -- 他还是NCAA男篮的正式裁判
在周二还开到Ann Arbor吹了一场油蜜的正式篮球比赛
做为一个50岁的离婚男人 正是干事业的好时候

拍子第二个超晚的long snapper，
已经是那年拍子第三个LS了
之前已经三年没打球了
之前snap得一塌糊涂
只能每天回宾馆，对着枕头苦练snap
超级碗当天吃早餐的时候居然抓错了刀，黄油刀抓成牛排刀，还把手严重刮伤了，刮到
了骨头
超晚前几个snap也都一塌糊涂，被punter/holder救了回来回板凳都不敢看小鸡
Adam Vinatieri之前丢了两个FG，不知道是否和他有关，但是如果LS不稳定，kicker心
态肯定受影响。
21－22的时候，心里祈祷汤哥一定要拿一个TD，这样会go for 2，就不用snap了。
虽然确实TD+2，但是黑猫又追回了一个TD

在九十年代我记得有个统计, 所有的加时赛中,
赢了硬币的队最后只有52%赢了比赛 -- 没想到罢。
(第一次加时是在1958年的冠军赛,
然后从1971年起在常规赛季也有了)。
迄今为止一共有四场NFC/AFC-Championship打到加时,
加上58年的冠军赛，五场比赛中，
前天是第一次由赢了硬币的队取得胜利。
金皮德在MMQB专栏里总是理直气壮地问,
如果真是无关紧要, 为何绝大多数赢了硬币的队都会要球？
这就是经典的"a priori" vs. "a posteriori":
事前教练们可能有偏见, 更不愿背"违反常识"的罪名,
但是几十年的事后结果证明这个"优势"是很微小的。
(1) 保持现状, 但是把KO线向前移。
以前的KO是从35甚至40码开踢,
后来NFL不能免俗, 人为地追求更多长距离的回攻, 才往后挪。
推前一些, 那怕就是五码, 即使没有touch back, 也会球到人到。
前面说到输硬币的队赢了前4场, 可能也与他们当时的KO比较靠前有关。
(2) 用大学那种方法

们saints会在出其不意的时候OSK。 payton是在研究了口子特种队的录像之后发现他们
右侧的那2个人经常会在kicker还没开始踢正在往球那儿跑的时候就开始后退，所以昨
天就故意往那个方向踢，而那2个人也确实开始往后倒退了，估计当时就懵了。。。 |

【MMQB】无忌的management, 几乎无懈可击。鸡蛋里挑骨头，QB可以商榷。Matt

范大喜挑人就好象女人问男人的经典问题，掉河里先救谁？Uh-oh, 两个都不是正解。
因为11周的独特性，Jets vs Hou, You’ve got to play Sanchez。Houston的defense

去年NFC的最后四强, 谁去打拍子都会是上狗.
今年整个NFL最没希望的5, 6个队, 都在AFC.
昨天的MMQB说, 现在两周过后,
6个队2-0, 20个队1-1, 6个队0-2,
难民是唯一一个NFC的, 而他们这周的胜利拜神已经给预定好了. |

声明和解释在他以后的报道里, 不会再用"红皮"的称呼, 只会称"Washington".
说没人会看不懂, 但另外的叫法就有人会受伤.
他声明不会规劝别人或命令他的写做组跟进, 完全就是他自己的个人选择.
而且说你要是继续用"红皮", 也没什么错的, 他也不会站在道德制高点上看低你.
他是坚定的自由派, 我开始认为这是摆高姿态哗众取宠.
不过转念一想, 如果中西部有个州是19世纪靠铁路的发展起家,
现在的球队叫"Yellow Skins", 不管当地观众怎么热情支持, 好像我也不会很自在. |
