If I'm allowed to draw a tentative conclusion of the last two years, I would
have come up with this:
there are two hard iron-clad facts that virtually everyone knows but half
them try to cover it up, the other half find it risk to do so:
1. O'Dumba is shitload of African con.

美国的堕落，主要是指精英阶层。
第一，政治精英阶层的堕落。
现实中美国的堕落开始于什么时候，这个我不清楚。但在我的认知范围内，始作佣者是
男克林顿。
首先，他的竞选口号是“这是经济问题，笨蛋！”（原话“It's the economy, stupid
!”）他其实有若干个其它口号，这个本来在内部小范围使用，但是最后成了他最出名
的口号。这个口号简单有力，嚷嚷起来令人爽快。但其致命问题是那个骂人模式。没有
其他总统竞选人用这种带侮辱性的口号，而且如此深入人心。好像撕开了政治竞选某一
个方面的遮羞布，这其实对大众有腐蚀作用。
其次，是男克林顿的性丑闻事件。在克林顿时代，美国的经济显示出蒸蒸日上的气象，
大众的精神面貌也很向上，所以普遍认为克林顿搞经济有一套，还有，据说他搞政治也

上上周在San Gabriel的妈妈乐抽油烟机店里订了一台油烟机. 在店里的时候sales guy
给我们演示了电视广告里看到的所有实验,什么在不同牌子的抽油烟机上方放一个大盖
子然后用尺量能吹起多高,还有揭示别的牌子的自动清洗功能有多假,还说别人怎么抄袭
他们的专利...总之说的天花乱坠的. 我们当时也就这么被骗了
过了整整一周才来安装. 安装之前跟我说我们油烟机上面不是柜子,所以要加60块钱,我
们也就答应了后来也给了他钱. 结果装好之后第一次用,才开了左边一个风扇,油烟机上
方的抽风管和油烟机就彻底脱开了. 另外抽风管和墙上的抽封口之间也漏风. 打电话问
了原来他们就是随便把管子插插,从来不密封的. 我真不能想象抽油烟机的抽风管不密

我觉得我们家的平衡好像是，是非对错要跟娃说清楚，尤其要用娃能听懂的语言而不是
大人的逻辑，这个我们从来不含糊 － 所以我们跟孩子话很多（讲很长的道理得是个
双向的讨论，不是单向的monologue， 娃会睡着的）,孩子至少从来没有－一次都没有
－－困惑过。（捎带着说，对开发娃的智力很有好处，最近有几个相当好玩又感动的故
事，哪天我灌篇长的来说说）
但惩罚的力度，其实可以随情况调整的。 立规矩行为的二阶导数是，娃遵守规矩根本
就不是为了不被惩罚 － 这个“二阶规矩”见仁见智的事儿，我就不多啰嗦了。 |
