of looking at the Moon without a filter I should give one a try. The Moon
filter attaches to almost any 1-1/4" eyepiece. It is a neutral density filter,
meaning there is no color shift, that reduces the amount of light passing
through.
My first night out with it the Moon was about 4 days old (crescent). With the

这个周末海水低潮期在下午，正是赶海的好时机。如果你买了今年的fishing license
的话，可以捡mussel, sea urchin等贝 类，没有的话也可以在露出海面的礁石上tide
pooling, 观赏露出水面的海葵等水生动植物。mussel 每个license限制在10磅， 我们
有称可以帮你量。因为现在是新年伊始，正是买fishing license 的最好时机，一买可
以用一年。加州居民的话$40+， 在walmart, sports authority， big 5等地方都有出
售。海边的新鲜海风也总令人心旷神怡。
我们周六下午从南湾 Mountain View Ranch 99 的parking lot carpool, 1：45pm 集
合，2pm 准时 出发。 你也可以直接去half moon bay的pillar point 停车场, 大约

1，Speckled Sea Trout，不再赘述；
2，Red Drum，立秋刚过没几天，Red 就开始行动。都是20吋以上，背厚、力猛，不
愧是海鱼；其间经历 Swivel 被拉开，15 LB的线被轻易拉断，损失两个 3/4的 spoon；
两条大的跑掉，绝对是所谓的 Bull Red；
3，Moon Walker 发威，终于开光。 在这，特地要给红月老哥道歉；上次，没能上鱼，
主要还是在于我没有摸到 moon walker的门道：我采用传统 top water 的 Z字路线，
也就是walking dog；其实不是最佳方式。
记得威力兄和红月老哥讨论过，我特地加以尝试：moon walker，木头比较重，故轻抬
竿尖，然后放低，walker会因为自重，有个一沉的动作。然后要稍收点线，再次重复前
面动作。哈哈，这次，鱼儿不仅仅是追饵，而且开始频繁咬饵。无奈，我专心于练习动
作，miss了好几个咬口，实在可惜。
最终，一条21的Lady Fish（这东西号称穷人的 Tappon，跃出水面近一米，水面行走近

一早起身在卖当劳吃过早饭继续赶路，一路上忽阴忽晴的，本来大个子还想要去
Bonneville Salt Flat State Park，被我断然拒绝，谁叫他自己懒惰没有加在
spreadsheet里！我们在Twin Falls洗了车，采购完今后几天的食品，直赴Craters of
the moon national monument。
还没开进Craters of the moon，远远的就看见天边滚滚的乌云，离我们越来越近，转
眼就下起瓢泼大雨来。
不过夏日的雷阵雨犹如小孩子的眼泪，说停就停。等我们开进Craters of the moon，
天已经放晴，黑黑的火山熔岩后面衬着一道绚烂的彩虹。
吃罢晚饭，我们赶去camping ground的amphitheater听ranger讲座。说实话，我听过的
这么多ranger讲座里，这是毫无疑问最烂的一个。这个ranger可能是个新手，虽说她是
学地质的，对专业知识还比较懂，可是好像压跟没有受过演讲训练，整整半个小时的演
讲全是用同一种平平的语调，而且里面夹杂的笑话是我听过最不好笑的笑话了。 |
