我LD以前的老板, 就是个jerk(这句话我在哪里说都一样), 一向觉得是学生素质差, 从
来不知道自己烂. 我没有这么说你, 我只是说, 很多PI似乎根本就没有跟真正好的
mentor工作过, 也不知道怎么mentor.
professional life，即使不是grad school的loser也是career的loser. 没当过PI，没
写过grant，怎么知道现在拿funding的艰难。你自己不motivated，想enjoy life，不
要进生物lab做grad，去贷款读个什么法学，商学的，那是你的自由，来生物这搅混水
，影响lab member的士气，趁早滚蛋。 |

只是为了最大可能发挥人的潜力。因为相信读phd的人都很聪明，但做
的好不好，很大程度看是不是能激发个人的兴趣和积极性，那么整个效
果会完全不一样。
许多phd讨厌生物，这样的心态对谁都不好，既然进了这行，暂时又不想
转行，那么总是要找到办法调动自己的积极性，即使以后干别的，你读书
时这样做也不会有损失的。 |

发帖数: 487 | 15 实际上 artistic porn 是现代社会里新出现的 reverse motivation 的一个缩影（临
床表现为 unmotivated，但本质不是 unmotivated）。其源动力是个人都在社会生存，
而社会生存不仅存在 physical injury，还存在 social injury。而 reverse
motivation 就是对 social injury 的自我保护性反应。
而对于马工索男的高智商群体，reverse motivation 更加普遍。一个原因是 highly
intelligence group 通常是 born as highly motivated（否则无法解释进化优势）。
但 highly motivated 也是双刃剑，会更容易受到 social injury。
而另一方面，所谓的 motivation，不过就是 dopamine pathway 而已。马工能 hack
coding，hack 自己的 dopamine pathway 也不难的。导致 reverse motivation 更普

昨天和几个朋友一起去outlet逛，
记得在Toryburch那个鞋店里，好多女的都在抢一样的买，也不见便宜多少，
朋友试鞋 我闲着，打量周围的女士们，
两亚洲mm,一人背了个小香，包还挺好看的，看的出是真的，
颜色很淡，我真怕她们这样抢来抢去把包都蹭脏了。
话说现在背奢侈包也没什么大不了的，实在是太多了，
我只是觉得应该dress for the occasion,
而且衣着也应该和包相衬，
总觉得很多女的穿的很不搭还非得背个特正经的香包去一些大卖场之类的，
不是反对背精巧的奢侈包，如果是去个好的餐厅也Dress up,那整道风景就美很多。
有时候街上看到一些老太太背着LV就很美很协调。
虽然人家年纪大了，但却还有种惊艳的感觉，
原因在于她们整体穿着都很讲究，发式妆容，
反正看着就很优雅。
当然了，人家的包，想怎么背怎么背，也当我闲扯好了。

看到大家在吐槽中国PI, 女AP,我从另外角度来说两句。
我的样本量不大，从新lab起步，总共有过 3 个薄厚，2个 technician, 1个学生，其
中两个是国人，和其他国家的employee比，最大的不同是在她们身上看不到对这份 job
应有的尊重。 让自由发挥搞得一塌糊涂，布置具体任务做不好，最严重的是口头答应
的事情很多不能 deliver也不follow up, 不知道是忘了还是做不出来。比如一个女薄
厚，生完孩子一直在修产假，修了将近3个月，email问情况几乎不回，突然跑来要延期
签证，说是会在搬家时过来帮忙。签了字再不见踪影。看着搬家时候烙印薄厚和美国学

你觉得自己没有motivation,只是心中的一种想法.这种想法的背后,还是有motivation.
你现在的状态,就有点像没听说过螃蟹的人去吃螃蟹,心中不情愿的想法,会有一大堆.
不必去理有没有motivation的想法,感觉.该做什么事情,就去做什么事情.开始的时候会
便扭,难受.忍一忍,让这些感觉自然而然流过去就好了,不必在那里拉扯个没完,没用也
没必要.
逐渐地,做事情自然而然,你不必作每件事情之前,都对自己说,"我现在很有motivation"
才行. |

为等。变态人渣多次威胁公正讨论变态淫乱行为对社会危害等正常言论是仇恨罪，其实
是缺乏法律常识的表现，也是其破坏言论自由的罪证。相反，ABC公开宣扬种族灭绝性

好吧，那就来点正能量中和一下：如何做好job talk呢？
我觉得最基本的原则就是：做talk要像讲故事，要有story，要引人入胜，要深入浅出。
下面先简单说说如何做好一般的seminar talk（基本都适用于job talk)，下一篇再讲
讲job talk的特殊之处。
首先引用版友Highly的引用：

entertain. That is to say, to hold interest. No matter how worthy the
message of something, if it's dull, you're just not communicating.
