1000刀的mower发动机只能是briggs stratton这个牌子的
2000刀的mower发动机要么是briggs stratton platinum的，要么是kohler
jd 3000刀的mower都是kawasaki
2000刀以下的传动系基本都是Tuff Torq T系列的
jd 3000刀的mower都是k46
jd 5000到以上的都是k66
2000刀以下的都是1 year warranty
3000刀的都是4 year warranty
至于你说这些差别值不值这个差价，我就不知道了 |

behind mower，每剪草一次耗时约2小时，权当锻炼。Riding-on mower给小宝宝玩还是
有些危险，《1000 Ways to Die》有个故事讲一个女的喝醉后开 riding-on mower撒疯
，不幸掉在地上被mower......了。 |

mowers. Again, my suggestion is that, get one you enjoy using. You need
to use the mower almost every week. Much more often than another other
power tools. If you buy cheap one you don't like it, you end up paying
some one like $100 a month to do it for you. So you waste both your money
on the mower.
Thing about it, $300 different is only 3 month's gardener cost. You can

发帖数: 20252 | 17 用百分比来看的话，成本差别并不低。不过算上自己的人力成本，mower的成本差别不
大，自己用得舒服就好。
没有大斜坡的话不需要自驱动，关键是mower要轻
mower deck越宽越省事，19“的和21”的比，要多走不少路。
用电虽然省油钱，常常充电也很麻烦，还得停在garage里。电mower的厂家少型号少，
服务不方便是缺点。

黑屋有个1000 英尺的草坪，用reel mower最好了。你这个面积用reel mower有点大。
如果借此机会锻炼身体用到不错。用reel mower注意草不能太长，也就是说要推的勤一
些, 一周一次，根据草长的速度。 |

发帖数: 276 | 20 1 acre没有那么吓人。如果比较平整，树不多的话，Riding on mower一个多小时就OK
啦。
5 mile(per hour) * 46 inch(mower deck width) = 100320 sqft = 2.3 acre. 当然
不可能一直全速，需要转弯后退。割草宽度也不能正好是deck宽度。就算减半，一小时
覆盖1 acre也差不多了。
别买太差的，至少得automatic transmission的，两缸的最好。$1000刀的是手动挡的
，马力也小。而且很可能还需要补充个Trimmer甚至Push mower，如果边边角角多的话
。单独用push mower的话，你会死得很难看的。 |

那里的人种草都很变态，可以看看 power user 是如何看的。小结：
似乎切的不是很平。因为前面的轮子比较细，碰到坑就磕下去。
总体效果没有 gas 的切得好。所以切高还是不合适。我就 pass 了。
修改：如果你地方比较小，很多转弯也不推荐。这个适合长的直线的切。
转弯加速不到需要的速度。

享受啊～～
至于200SQFT的小豆腐块，Mower也能用。实在割不到的地方，再另外买一个Trimmer，

ride on mower不便宜，如果你买了，就是很大的commitment说以后都要自己动手了，
我在mow了三年后觉得自己弄实在太累，太费时间，于是决定以后找人割，这样mower就
没用了。我的是手推的，所以用了3年废弃也不算太心疼。你要是ride on，再决定不用
，成本就很高了，当然可以当二手的卖，但折价很厉害。所以想好了你是不是要make
the commitment。我觉得如果你的草坪很规整还可以考虑自己弄，如果有坡或者弯弯角
角比较多，自己推就很麻烦，还会有很多边角推不倒，要再用trimmer，累死。 |

，结果那个破电池用2次以后，电池的寿命就开始deteriorate, 大夏天的割草割到一半
，电池因为overheat突然就没电了，烦死活人.
honda self propelled就可以. 买gas的无非是要自己加汽油，然后定期换机油，
filter. 如果自己换汽车的机油和平常的维护，gas lawn mower要做的那些事情根本不
值得一提. |

一个是 black & decker 19" electric mower, MM875, ~$200 (sears). 好处是电动的
，维护容易。但是要拖着很长的电线（草坪接近3000sqrt）。而且有人抱怨B&D的质量
不是太好。
另一个是 toro 20334, gas with eletric start, ~$360 (HD)。牌子不错，有点启动
。缺点是太贵了点（快是b&d的2倍了）。不知是不是应该考虑 20331, ~$300（因为上
个是craftsman (honda engine),但是用了一会发动热了后极难重新启动，所以想买个
点启动或者电动的）。

发帖数: 9607 | 50 mower在honda和toro里面挑，0.35亩用self propelled的。honda的割草性能可能好点
，toro的操作舒服点。
trimmer用的其实不是很多。我觉得用个一般的就行。直杆的比弯杆的好，4冲程发动机
比2冲程发动机的方便，不需要混油，，但是更重。好的trimmer的价钱也快赶上普通的
mower了，除非是用的很多，否则我觉得不值。 |
