An appeals court upheld the seven-year prison sentence for the dissident son
of one of Vietnam's founding revolutionaries Tuesday, despite arguments
that his support for a multiparty system did not mean he was against the
Communist Party.
Cu Huy Ha Vu, a human rights lawyer educated in France, said he was innocent
of charges including spreading propaganda against the state and called the
case against him a conspiracy.

据赞比亚当地媒体报道，2011年9月20日的大选结果是，74岁的反对党爱国阵线领袖萨
塔Michael Sata以获得43%的选票当选赞比亚第五任总统，而统治赞比亚20年的多元民
主运动Movement for Multiparty Democracy(MMD)主席班达Rupiah Banda获36%的支持
票而丢掉了总统的位置，其它21%的票投给了另外的8个候选人。赞比亚和国际媒体一致

the interviewer was very polite. He did not explain the internet filtering
very well, but did explained socialism the best way I have ever heard of
from a Chinese leader. This is surprising. He also talked about a
progressive process to achieve Democracy, including free election, and did
not rule out a multiparty system. |
