The exact cause of Munchausen syndrome is not known, but researchers are
looking at the role of biological and psychological factors in its
development. Some theories suggest that a history of abuse or neglect as a
child, or a history of frequent illnesses that required hospitalization
might be factors in the development of the syndrome. Researchers are also
studying a possible link to personality disorders, which are common in
people with Munchausen syndrome.

Asma全名Butt Asma Ali，中文名畢艾美，現時就讀中六。爺爺在英殖時期在港擔任警
察，父母20年前從巴基斯坦來港定居，在港出生的Asma操流利廣東話，贏得多個朗誦獎
項，中四、中五更成為學校的總領袖生，「我同華語同學一齊生活、一齊慶祝生日、一
齊出去溫書，係香港過節日，例如新年我會去老師屋企，好開心係香港融入呢個社會。
」
她亦關心社會，雨傘邉颖l初期適逢是巴基斯坦新年，她與朋友去金鐘聲援，「我唔
會覺得我係一個巴基斯坦人，我就唔駛理香港發生乜事。調返轉，我覺得我係香港出世
，我基本上係香港人，我應該主動去了解香港文化，而家發生緊乜事。」

basically we are talking about couple different psych diagnosis here:
(1） somatoform disorder: conversion disorder is one of those. It is defined
as 'one or more symptoms or deficit affecting voluntary motor or sensory
function that suggest neurological or general medial conditions', so
something like 'peudoseizure' will qualify for it. Note that the symptom is

Seriously, the vision problem is clearly pre-chiasm and not a brain
parenchymal stroke for which MRI is useful. Yes cavernous sinus may be
implicated as both CN 3 and 5 are affected, but the symptoms are too acute
and transient for anatomical MRI to pick up something, in the *most likely*
scenario. |
